Did not post no ac in room. Ceiling fan small and could not open windows for air circulation. Then charged me extra to move to room w/ ac. Should have put rooms without ac upstairs so at least you could get a breeze. Stained sheets towels tub and toilet. Rips in towels and sheets. Only good thing cook made good banana crepes.

Great experience, we originally booked the room without the AC but we got an upgrade to one with the AC which was great since it's extremely humid. The staff was very friendly and helpful, they will help with booking cabs and will allow you to rent out bikes for a very reasonable price. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast that are included are tasty .

Good location. Cheap and cheerful.
We stayed four nights and would recommend to others bearing in mind you get what you pay for. If looking for luxury this is not for you. If looking for simple, clean accommodation in good location then I would recommend to stay here. Negatives - shower hung low over bath and no curtain so difficult not to get water all over the floor as had to hold shower at right height. Only one rail in bathroom could do with more hooks to hang clothes. No hand towel provided only bath towel. Room cleaned on third day and this was only making bed and emptying bin. Towels not changed. Nowhere to hang clothes in bedroom despite clothes hangers being provided. No sitting area inside so had to sit on bed. Wi-Fi is hit and miss. Did not use air con. Positives breakfast included in price, outside balcony area to sit on to have breakfast and in evening before all the mozzies come out. If you have a tour planned request breakfast earlier than you want as it was late on three occasions and up to 45mins late. Stayed in room 5 and noisy due to pool next door and water running. Cockerals in area constantly making noise day/night and toilet gurgled day/night too. So if light sleepers choice a different room or different place to stay. Located a one min walk off Bisma Street which is 10mins from main strip so good location and easy to walk to lots of places. Location is biggest positive. Heard they provide car service and tours but did not use any of this so cannot comment.

Lovely rooms,great price.
Really lovely rooms in beautiful garden, in a quiet location not far from the centre. A few little things, like milk for the coffee and a bathmat would make a difference, but overall, at the price, no complaints. Enjoyed our stay here.

Nice view but need improvement on staff
We stayed here for 2 nights, our room is spacious but empty, not many amenities provided, no kettle but they would boil water for you as requested. The duvet and pillow case were smelly when we first arrived and the staff changed for us efficiently upon our request. Bathroom is a bit dirty, there are stains at the back of the door. Bathtub is just a normal one, not the "Deep soaking bathtub'' that they've mentioned. Garden view from balcony is pretty. For breakfast we ordered toast with egg and banana pancake, the pancake is highly recommended. Location wise, its quite close to the Ubud city center, around 10-15 mins. Lots of massage places to choose from around the hotel. Hotel staffs are friendly but way too chatty and always persuade us to join dancing show, coffee shop activities, we almost had to avoid talking to them. And when we needed the staff to help book a taxi for one day, he mention the coffee shop and restaurant again, I understand they want to get commission but the way they did it is quite annoying and pushy. One thing we didn't like about staff is he walked in to our room for few times without asking our permission when we were inside the room, although he just wanted to chat with us how was our day and wanted to clean our room, however, we would like more privacy to ourselves and enjoy our rest. Overall, its still a pleasant stay because of the view we get and the convenience to city center.

A true gem! 4.5/5 stars
An absolutely brilliant find, I'd rather give it a 4.5/5 than just a 4. Dewa was a fantastic host, offering day trips to the Balinese dancing, the rice terraces, waterfall and temple. The hotel itself was so peaceful, on a small side street away from the main road which was ridiculously busy all the time. The street had restaurants selling for half the price! The breakfast was yummy and the room huge with comfy beds. Only downside was that the rooms got a slightly damp feeling as little air flow, and only a ceiling fan rather than air con. But if you can live with that then it's a true gem. A lovely little swimming pool as well which was great to cool off in. Highly recommended!!

Great place to stay
This is a very cute little place with nice gardens, a small pool and only 6 rooms. The location is good as it is off the main roads which were bumper to bumper with cars in July. The upstairs rooms have a very big balcony, the room itself was big and clean. The only thing is that they don't have milk or milk powder for tea and coffee so I suggest you bring your own. Overall this is a great place to stay and explore Ubud and there sre still rice paddies next door.

Bargain for Money
Surprised by the pool! Was a lovely addition to the stay. The breakfast was lovely every morning and the hosts friendly. It was convenient to Ubud, while being far enough away to feel relaxed and quiet. Definitely good value for money, and we didn't miss the extras like a TV. The other guests were lovely as well, and it was nice knowing that there were not many people in the complex.

A little oasis in Ubud
Frangipani is a delightful family owned b and b 10´ walk from the Museum Puri Lukisan, the Royal Palace and the market and 20' from the Monkey Forest. Despite the fact that it is so near all these tourist places, it is remarkably quiet. I loved waking up in the morning to the sound of birds and being surrounded by green. The upstairs rooms have a little balcony where breakfast is served: plenty of fruit and banana or pineapple pancake. Frangipani also boasts a small swimming pool which is a delight first thing in the morning or at night when the heat tends to become a wee too much. Very near the Frangipani there is a mini market and lots of very nice places where you can eat, especially the Black Pearl nextdoor. Ask for their banana fritters with cheese or ice cream - a delight for 2.5 Us dollars. The extra advantage of Frangipani is having Dewa Ajik, brother in law of the owner. He is the excellent resident driver and provides wonderful ideas for touring Ubud at very adequate rates. He suits the travelling plans according to what you wish to see. On top of that he gives youn wonderful insights into the Balinese culture.

An excellent find
Found this hotel on Hotels.com and thought that we could just spend one night there. The review doesn't mention a pool but when we got there not only were the bungalows amazing but there was also a lovely pool available. The owner is lovely and was really helpful, providing us with excellent breakfasts and information, arranging a trip to the Gili islands for us. The rooms are well maintained and cleaned daily. The only downside is that there are sometimes small ants in and around the bathrooms - nothing to worry about but worth noting if you have an aversion to ants. All in all and excellent place to stay - so much so that we stay for three more nights.

Pleasant quiet place, lovely garden
New place, nicely constructed, well maintained but initially had no hot water, soon corrected though. Service was prompt, nice people. Nice lovely garden courtyard set back from the road made for quiet pleasant time to relax by the pool or balcony/veranda. Separate tub/shower so bathroom floor stayed drier. Huge rooms. Only complaints are the shower head mounted too low, and no table space to put your things especially for such a large room, hot water should be checked before allowing occupy the room.

Overall, quite good.
Our fan wasn't working as well as it should have been, resulting in a few nights of poor sleep. Staff were friendly and helpful. The pool was only finished on our last day, which was a little frustrating. All in all though, a good place to stay, especially now they have the pool!

Lovely stay
We had an absolutely wonderful stay in early December. We booked a standard room but were given an upgrade on arrival to a room with aircon. Breakfast was amazing, with fruit and banana pancakes. A little far out but not too far to walk to town centre, and a bit quieter and peaceful! Only drawback is there was only a bath with shower, the bathrooms were a bit basic but still clean. Pool always under construction when we arrived so hope it's there next time!

Cheap... But is it worth it?
We paid $25 dollars a night so I have a hard time rating this less than a 2-3 because it's basically what we paid for. Here are the pro's and con's. Pro's: - WiFi that works great - Close to the main street in Ubud (10 min walk) - 24 hour check-in - Good breakfast included (limited options, banana pancakes are the best) Con's: - Our room (#3) didn't have air conditioning - There are ants everywhere in the room - Smells a bit musty - You don't receive clean towels unless you ask - No pool We should also note that we were supposed to stay for 5 nights but the electricity went out at the hotel on our 4th night so the fan in the room hadn't worked for hours so we ended up leaving and staying at the hotel nearby. The new hotel was $30 more a night and 10x better.

Great spacious & comfortable rooms
Great modern, spacious and super clean rooms. The bungalows are located just a few minutes walk from the Ubud center markets, so the location is premium. Breakfast is served in your own room balcony! Great experience. Staff was very friendly and helpful
