During your stay:
We simply expect guests to behave like grown-ups:
* Don't burn down the house. No candles or smoking/vaping any substances. BBQs must be safely raised from the ground so as not to damage the garden and put out & disposed of fully before you leave the garden.
* Charging electric vehicles from plug sockets is strictly prohibited. The electricity supply at Geufron Farm is not suitable for nor insured for EV charging, even with a "granny cable". We are delighted to provide you with use of our Pay-as You Go 7KW charger, located in the main parking area. A link to the charging app is included in your guest guidebook and charges will be incurred according to the current Kwh rate shown in the app.
* We are on a septic tank so please only flush toilet tissue. There are wastebaskets around the property for everything else e.g. nappies, cotton wool, face wipes etc.
* Please remove your personal belongings, food, rubbish & recycling from the property at the end of your stay. The main waste & recycling bins are located at the end of the driveway. We find it's easiest to take rubbish little & often rather than wait till the end of the stay when you may have a lot.
* Please respect the privacy of other guests who may be holidaying at the farm at the same time as you. Geufron Farm is a peaceful location, please keep the noise down, particularly at night & early morning.
* No parties or additional guests. We regret we are unable to welcome parties for pre-wedding celebrations and alike.
DOGS: We love welcoming your four legged family members on holiday with you and simply ask that you please book in & pay for all dogs who are staying with you.
A fee of £25 per dog per stay is payable directly to the owner on the secure payment link provided after booking. This helps us to provide facilities for your dog to enjoy e.g. the creation & upkeep of our dedicated dog field.
* Please respect the Doggy Code below:
Maximum Dog numbers are dependent on the size of the property at Geufron Farm
The Cowshed = up to 4 house trained dogs
The Granary = up to 2 house trained dogs
The Little Cottage - up to 2 house trained dogs
The Old Farmhouse = up to 4 house trained dogs
The Barn = up to 4 house trained dogs
Y Caban = up to 2 house trained dogs
If you have a greater number of dogs please get in touch and we'll be delighted to advise on the best property match for your needs.
Bringing your dog to stay? We welcome well behaved pooches. In order for everyone to enjoy their break away please:
Only bring your dog to stay if they are fully house trained. We regret that we cannot accept dogs who are using indoor puppy pads or similar.
Be neat and wipe your paws. If your dog needs a clean up please use one of the hoses outside & not the indoor human shower or baths. Please bring your own dog towel to dry off.
Sofas & beds are for the use of human guests only. If your dog is likely to jump onto the bed with you please contact us prior to booking to arrange that you bring your own bedding and sheets.
Bring your favourite dog bedding, crate, throws, towel, food & water bowls etc
Pick up your poops as they happen and pop them in one of the doggy bins located around the farm. Free poop bags are provided in your garden area, welcome pack and in the dog play field. Dog poops that have to be removed from the garden will be charged at a minimum of £50.
Check that you are satisfied that the area e.g. garden or dog field is safe & secure for your dog before letting them off lead. Each owner's assessment of a ‘secure area' is different as are the needs & capability of each dog. We leave it to you to make this safety assessment on behalf of your individual pet.
Don't leave your dog alone in the property, even for a short time. You might think they are ok when you leave them but trust us we hear them bark, howl, scratch and jump up at windows & doors when they are left alone. They would much rather spend their holiday with you & we'll share with you all our favourite dog friendly places to visit, eat & drink together to make life easier.
If other owners are using the dog field, please check you are both comfortable for your dogs to mix before entering the field area
Keep your dog under control. Dogs must not be allowed to chase livestock or to worry people or other dogs.
Leave the cottage & garden clean & tidy. If the property requires significant additional cleaning or there are dog poops left in the garden, we will charge a minimum £50 fee to cover the cost of putting the situation right ready for the next guests.
We gladly welcome you to stay with your exempted dog on the condition that you consistently adhere to the exemption legislation throughout your stay including, but not limited to, muzzling your dog & keeping your dog on lead when in public.
• Notification or exemption
Please notify us on your booking form if you are travelling with an exempted dog. This will help us, to help you throughout your stay.
• Verification and Documentation:
We reserve the right to request a copy of your dog’s Certificate of Exemption and proof of third-party insurance ahead of your stay.
• Public Spaces Consideration:
The dog play field is considered a public space, as it may be accessed by staff, other guests, and their pets at any time. While we encourage guests to coordinate with others before entering the dog play field, we cannot guarantee this.
• Fenced Gardens
Each owner’s definition of a ‘secure area’ varies, as do the needs and capabilities of each dog. We do not assert the security of fenced areas, including gardens. Pet owners are responsible for assessing safety before allowing their pets off-lead or muzzle & for their pets & children’s behaviour at all times.
