The cottage is unique with the 'street car' being a wonderful element. The beds were very nice, everything was clean and in order. There is a roach problem but can tell its being worked. The kitchen is well stocked.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Tybee trolley was definitely old. The trolley portion of the house was unique and interesting. The house was clean and most everything worked beautifully. The water smelled horrific, but after running it for about 45 minutes the smell was much better. The roaches were our company day and night dead and alive. it was not very appetizing! As described in the write up about this house, the view of the beach was totally obstructed. However, we knew that before we rented it. Tiger trolley is definitely a house that would hold four people comfortably. Any more than that It’s a tight fit everywhere.

The bad experience
This property is very cute and snug! The cleanliness of this property was terrible. The first night we had to have them come out and clean the bathroom as it has not been clean. No pillow cases on the pillows. Most of the doors on the property interior you could barely get open(it took an act of congress to do so) *EXTREME FIRE HAZARD* and the sun room floor fell in while we stayed there. Oh and there was broken windows being held together by tape. During the stay the company was very responsive with our concerns and was prompt to fix what they could but after you check out they did not want to help you resolve any issues/compensate for your troubles. Very disappointed with the stay especially for the price paid. They wouldn’t even compensate the cleaning cost of the property very disappointed! Will never stay with Tybee Cottages/ Lucky Savannah again!

The Trolly House
This was a great location for the beach and town areas. We really enjoyed the time spent on the beach which was a short walk over the dunes. The beach was not busy and enjoyed the long walks during the day and night.

Problems getting in
The Trolley was a very unique place, but the outside area was not very clean & the grill was broken and could not use. We also could not open the lock to get the key out to open the door. There needs to be instructions on how to open the lock as we had to have someone come & open it for us. We waited over an hour to get in. We also didn't realize that we had no view of the water while using the porch due to the dunes. Something I will consider in future bookings. Also, the beach umbrella was broken & needs to be replaced. Overall, it was a unique experience.

It was a perfect space for three generations (grandparents, parents, kids) directly at the dunes and cross-over to the beach. The decor and unique trolley "heart" of the cottage made it have a wonderful classic beach house feel. The place was clean and easily accessible to the island's restaurants and shops. We especially loved eating and playing games in the front full-glass sitting area. The kitchen could use some updating but it was also quaint and adequate for our stay.

Nothing Else Like It
My wife and I enjoyed a five-day getaway at the Tybee Trolley in mid-June. We were looking for a unique, relaxing experience for our first visit to Tybee Island; this property was just right. The Tybee Trolley is quaint (even a little quirky, as you might expect) but very comfortable and well maintained. As one might expect from the property listing, this is more of an unpretentious beach cabin than a luxury property. But it has everything we needed for a relaxing vacation. We liked the location: on a relatively quiet stretch of the island, yet still within walking distance of both south beach/Tybrisa Street (about a mile away) and the north beach area (less than a mile away). We especially enjoyed time on the deck, right in front of the dunes. When the wind was a little too strong for deck time, it was easy to retreat into the porch area or the living area, without losing any of the gorgeous view. The kitchen was well equipped, and the air conditioning, plumbing, appliances, etc., all worked well, with one minor exception. We ran a load of laundry midway through the week and found that the dryer wasn't producing enough warm air to dry the clothes. In all, we had a great time. The Tybee Trolley was an excellent choice for us.

Great Little Place to Stay
