Gooseberry Trailside Suites property borders Gooseberry State Park, the most popular state park in Minnesota, with access to the Nordic skiing and mountain biking trail system right out the back door. Guest can also jump onto the Gitchi Gami State trail for those who want to bike or rollerblade on a smooth paved trail with access just across the road.

With the close proximity to Gooseberry Falls and Splitrock Lighthouse, as well as Two Harbors, Duluth, and Lutsen, there are year-round opportunities to venture out to go hiking, biking, skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, sightseeing, swimming, and much more!

Great for groups both large and small, there are 4 - two-bedroom, one-bath condo-style suites on the property that can be reserved individually or together. Each has its private entrance. Each suite has its own entrance as well as separate decks with a grill and outdoor dining table. In addition, we've added a beautiful new fire pit area, for a quiet evening with smore's and quality family time. The sauna just adds to that North Shore experience!

We had an enjoyable stay. We were only there for one night. We wish we had stayed another night. Great location. Easy access to everything we wanted to do. Would definitely stay here again in the future.

Wonderful stay and great location
Such a wonderful place to stay. My family stayed here for my wedding weekend at Gooseberry Falls State Park. The rooms are lovely and lots of space, very comfortable and clean, and so close to the park. It was perfect, thank you!

We loved our stay in the suites. The location was great! We were able to explore a bit further up into Grand Marais. It was nice to come back and unwind on the deck and enjoy the view! Definitely a great place to stay!

This place is so beautiful, and has every amenity we could have needed. It also happens to be located in a great location that allows for easy drives to area waterfalls, beaches, lighthouses and charming towns!

Hikers Paradise
A fabulous retreat right in the midst of premier hiking and exploring of the North Shore. A fully stocked kitchen to fuel your fun, deck and fire ring to chill and relax and luxurious beds to rest your head on to sleep. Our hiking group was thrilled with the property!

Nice place, quiet, view of Lake Superior out window. Close to state parks, biking. Only downside was the flies in the house. Could not figure out how they were getting in, must have killed 20 every day.

Loved the trails right outside your door. Very clean! Only issue: the flies. As the sun rose, the flies swarmed the windows like an Amityville Horror Film. Could not see where they were coming in; need an exterminator.

This spot was so perfect for access to tettegouche, split rock, and gooseberry! We did lots of hikes then came back and enjoyed fires outside at the fire pit - the wood shed was stocked for us!
