Whilst searching for a Last minute booking of this property, the Wotif app defaulted to the 22nd of the month which in turn booked me in days after requiring accommodation.
We arrived to check in only to find out the mistake. The staff, whilst lovely, took no ownership or giving much direction of options so we ended up cancelling our night away as everything was booked out.
When contacted to get more details of refund was told they can’t do it because it’s through a third party. Wotif could not do anything bc property online policy is no cancellation within 2 weeks which is ridiculous! No one wanted to help through this red tape. I was only in town a few days so couldn’t take the later booking. I spoke with the lady over phone and she insisted under no circumstances could they just cancel or at least help me through the cancellation through Wotif. No support or under strong. After I sent an email expressing my disappointment and dissatisfaction of service I heard nothing in return. Poor customer service. No help to resolve or at least understand. My fault for not double checking when back into the app screen for dates but not my fault for it defaulting the dates. An acknowledgement of an easy mistake could very well be rectified by the property and they had plenty of time to resell the room!
No follow up of contact is just unprofessional. I do not recommend. BEWARE there is no change or cancellation before two weeks. Rediculous.
