Fantastic little castle
Wonderful few days in the fabulous little castle. The pictures probably don’t do it justice - an amazing place to stay with fantastic views from the roof.

Simply Amazing!
The Tower is simply amazing - it was such a unique and wonderful experience. We stayed with our two teenagers, they loved the rooftop, the medieval surroundings and we all loved the hammock! The location is perfect for exploring, we drove to Orvieto, Tarquinia, Monte Argentario and Giglio Island. Roberto was incredibly helpful both before, during and after the trip, he also responds very promptly to messages. Elvira welcomed us to the tower upon our arrival and was absolutely lovely and so helpful. I can't say enough good things about this property - if you are looking for rugged beauty, history and atmosphere in a unique setting with all the necessities, then this is the place for you! I should add that you can walk into Tuscania where there are plenty of lovely restaurants and places to explore. Stay as long as you can, I hope we'll get the chance to come back one day!

Beautiful character property in a charming location
We stayed at Roberto's tower for 4 nights and had a great time. The location is perfect for exploring Tuscania (and beyond), Roberto was an excellent host, providing valuable information about the property itself, and also Tuscania, and responded to messages very quickly, which was helpful. The property is well-equipped, has plenty of space, although it's split over 3 levels, so bear that in mind if you have young children, or people who struggle with stairs. The roof terrace has fantastic views. The property felt very secure and safe, and even on hot days, stayed relatively cool due to it's thick walls. It's been very nicely renovated inside, with modern touches, and Wi-Fi. A highly recommended place!

Incredible and unique!
This is the perfect place to stay if you want to experience the true Italy beyond the typical tourist destinations of Rome, Florence, or Venice. Incredible tower looking out onto the rolling Italian hillside in one direction and the town of Tuscania's ancient church and walled city in the other. Very central location to do day trips to Lake Bracciano, Bolsena, and civita bagnoregio. And it's all less than 90 minutes from the Rome airport! It is a tower, so just be aware that this wouldn't work well for anyone with mobility issues as there are a lot of stairs to the bedrooms. But it was absolutely perfect for our group of two adult couples.

Charming and peaceful property
What a great place to relax and take in the surroundings. This property is an easy walk into town or any of the historic sites. The views from the roof top patio are wonderful. There are all of the modern amenities with the charm of an Italian villa, that just happens to be a watch tower. The grounds are filled with fruit trees, flowers, exotic plants with a trellis and picnic table. Highly recommend this property as a Base of exploration of central Italy. We drove to Florence and Rome in just under two hours.

Außergewöhnlich!!!
Wir verbrachten 4 wundervolle Tage im Oktober mit unseren 2 Kindern (12 u. 14) und unserem kleinen Hund an diesem außergewöhnlichen Ort. Der Turm ist genial, sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet, sauber und einfach ein traumhafter Ort zum Wohnen. Es ist alles wie beschrieben. Die verschiedenen Lampen und Lichter innen wie auch außen haben dem Ganzen eine spezielle Atmosphäre verliehen. Die Dachterrasse mit ihrer gewaltigen Aussicht war der Hammer!!! Der offene Kamin am Abend war auch sehr gemütlich. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und Stefania und Ottavio waren sehr herzlich und hilfsbereit. Wir haben viele Ausflüge gemacht, zum Meer, zum Bolsenasee, nach Civita di Bagnoregio und zu den heißen Quellen von Saturnia. Es ist alles innerhalb 1h zu erreichen und sehr empfehlenswert. Auch Tuscania selbst hat eine wunderschöne Altstadt. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen und können diesen Turm mit gutem Gewissen weiterempfehlen. Wer etwas Außergewöhnliches sucht, ist hier richtig!!! Wir kommen sicher wieder. Danke für eure Gastfreundschaft!!! Lothar und Ingrid mit Familie

Alles bestens - bis auf die Matratzen
Der Turm ist eine wirklich besondere Unterkunft. Schön eingerichtet, mit fantastischem Blick in die Ferne. Tuscania, in dem man alles notwendige finden kann, ist nur ein paar Schritte entfernt. Ottavio und Stefania haben uns freundlich empfangen und hatten gute, zuverlässige Restauranttipps. Nur ein leider nicht ganz kleines Manko gab es (deshalb keine fünf Sterne): die Matratzen waren leider sehr unbequem und wirkten durchgelegen. Das war schade bei diesem liebevoll gestalteten Objekt - lässt sich aber sicher verbessern.

Wunderbar!
Es ist ein ganz besonderes und individuelles Quartier über die drei Stockwerke des Turms und die Dachterrasse. Wir hatten dort eine wunderbare Urlaubszeit! Der Turm liegt unterhalb der mittelalterlichen "Kirchenburg" von San Pietro und der Stadtmauer mit weitem Blick über das Tal des Flüsschen Martha und die Landschaft. Es weht, auch wenn es heißt ist, immer ein angenehmer Wind wie in einer "Frischluftschneise". Stefania und Simone haben uns sehr herzlich und perfekt organisiert vor Ort eingeführt und mit Informationen versorgt. Die Kommunikation mit Roberto war sehr gut. Alles war perfekt organisiert. Mit einem kurzen Fußweg ist man in der schönen Altstadt von Tuscania, die sehr wenig "touristisch" ist. Die wenigen Details, die man kritisieren kann, sind in anderen Bewertungen genannt. Zu jeder Zeit kann man auf dem schönen Gartengelände Schatten finden, man kann aber leider nicht den (schönen) schweren Holztisch draußen dem Schatten "hinterher" tragen. Wir hatten selbst einen großen Sonnenschirm mit, was gut war. Man wohnt "in der Zivilisation", hört vor allem die Zikaden in den Pinien über einen, aber auch die Landstraße und das Wasserwerk an der Martha. Tuscania liegt "auf halbem Weg" zwischen dem Lago di Bolsena und dem Mittelmeer. Wir fanden es sehr schön, sowohl im See als auch im Meer baden zu können. Die Lage des Ortes in Latium fanden wir super für unseren Urlaub. Sehr zu empfehlen!!!

Einzigartiger Charme des Torre
Die 50 Stufen haben es in sich, aber es lohnt sich. Der Torre ist wunderschön, in ruhiger Umgebung, fussläufig zum historischen Stadtkern von Tuscania. Sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet, das Bett könnte etwas besser sein. Super sauber!!! Stefania war sehr hilfsbereit, mit tollen Tipps und natürlich auch Holz für den Pizzaofen. Wir haben es sehr genossen und auch ein paar Nächte oben auf dem Torre übernachtet.

Sehr schöne Unterkunft mit phantastischem Ausblick
Tolle Unterkunft in toller Lage! Von hier aus kann man in alle Richtungen Ausflüge in die sehr interessante Umgebung unternehmen. Die Aussicht von der Dachterrasse ist wunderbar und im Pizzaofen lassen sich leckere Pizzen backen! Im Turm ist alles vorhanden was man benötigt, inklusive Holz für den Pizzaofen. Die Anfahrt führt über einen kurzen Feldweg der sich mit einem PKW (z.B. Mercedes E Klasse Kombi) gut befahren lässt. Die Straße unterhalb des Turms ist mitunter hörbar.

Tolles Objekt in phantastischer Lage
Wer einen besonderen Urlaub sucht, ist hier richtig: hier treffen sich eine phantastische Natur (phänomenaler Ausblick vom Turm) und eindrucksvolle kulturelle Besichtigungsmöglichkeiten in idealer Weise. Vom Vermieter Roberto wurden wir sehr gut betreut. Vielen Dank!

Einzigartige Ferien in liebevoll und geschmackvoll eingerichtetem Wehrturm aus dem Mittelalter
Das große Grundstück ist wunderschön bepflanzt und man findet zu jeder Zeit ein schattiges, angenehm windiges Plätzchen. Der Turm ist ausgesprochen geschmackvoll mit hochwertigen Möbeln eingerichtet und hat eine wundervolle Atmosphäre. Wir wurden sehr nett empfangen und der Vermieter reagierte sofort, als wir zwischendurch eine Frage hatten. Wir fühlten uns rundum wohl und können den Turm wärmstens weiterempfehlen!

Der Aufenthalt in Tuscania und im "Torre" war sehr erholsam und angenehm. Das eine oder andere Upgrade in der Küche oder Außenbereich (Sitzgelegenheit) wäre erforderlich - unterem Strich sind wir jedoch sehr zufrieden mit unserem Reiseziel.

Idyllische toren met prachtig uitzicht
Via een klein landweggetje net buiten Tuscania bereik je de toren. We zijn prima ontvangen. Het appartement was zeer schoon. Het is smaakvol in stijl van de toren ingericht. De woonkamer is niet groot maar verder prima verzorgd. Er is voldoende keukengerei, maar wel slechts 2 gaspitten. Wij sliepen er met zijn zessen (2 luchtbedden) maar eigenlijk is het geschikt voor 4 personen. De eigenaar vond het niet erg dat ons onverwachte bezoek in trok dus dat was erg fijn. Het is rond de toren een en al rust. Je hebt een prachtig dakterras waar je 's avonds fijn kan zitten. In de tuin ontbreekt het wel aan comfortabele stoelen, maar we zetten gewoon de eettafel bank en stoelen buiten. Het ligt op loop afstand van Tuscania. Dit is een echt prachtig dorp. Eigenlijk is de hele streek leuk voor activiteit zoals mooie dorpjes zoals Viterbo, het Bolsena meer en het strand. Echte aanrader dus.

Logeren in een modern sprookje!
De toren is fascinerend! Het is een gerenoveerde middeleeuwse toren met een prachtige moderne inrichting. De tuin en het uitzicht zijn fantastisch, heerlijk genieten vanuit de hangmat of lekker eten onder de druiven. Als het donker wordt, dan worden de toren en de bomen verlicht, wat er schitterend uitziet, opdat moment besef je dat je logeert in het stadsaanzicht van Tuscania. Als je Tuscania nadert, dan zie je namelijk de karakteristieke torens, die kenmerkend zijn voor de stad. De vele heerlijke pizza's die we buiten hebben gemaakt in de schitterende steenoven zullen mijn kinderen nooit meer vergeten! Ontbijten op het dak en genieten van de ochtendzon met het schitterende uitzicht rondom heeft een onuitwisbare indruk bij ons achter gelaten. De stad is één groot museum, alles ademt geschiedenis uit, overal ontdek je weer iets nieuws (ouds). De opgravingen beginnen zelfs al een paar meter buiten de tuinmuur waar studenten een zeer mooi stuk van de Via Clodia hebben blootgelegd. Wil je nog meer historie proeven, Rome is vanuit hier zeer goed aan te rijden. Wijn zijn negen dagen geweest (april/mei) en we kwamen tijd tekort, er is zoveel in de omgeving te doen. Sanitair en de slaapkamers zijn top! Deze toren is echt een aanrader, laat deze kans op een bijzondere ervaring niet schieten!
