This was a great place to stay for a weekend while we were here for the bama game! It’s definitely small, but very cozy and everything was very clean and well placed. Would stay here for this price over a hotel any day!
VRBO should not have this place as a listing:
-Owner communicated repeatedly about the size of the place but the quality of the unit is the concern.
-insulation hanging out of the window and the walls
-front door had not insulation nor trim so you could see directly outside around the door.
-exposed sharp screws throughout unit
-ironing board but no iron??????
-no exterior lighting (broken solar lights)
-light switches and outlet covers do not fully cover the boxes (poor trim work)
-exterior of property looked like a dump
-the interior looks like they used any scrap wood that was available to construct and had zero experience with construction.
-inadequate heating (one small electric space heater). We had to wear extra clothing and use 5 blankets to stay warm at night.
-portable ac unit blocked the door, required to have 36” of space at exit door to meet fire code, this does not meet code.
-fold out couch was not even close to being usable, we had to stand couch up and use air mattress even with the 3 layers of foam provided.
I felt like owner stole money from us, we paid a good bit of money for 2 nights. This is absurd and I’d be embarrassed to own and market this unit in its current condition. VRBO should remove this listing.
We messaged this to the owner with no response hoping they would make it better
Melissa we have left - this shed was not at all as advertised, the pictures are not what is there now
We were unaware it was an unmade pull out sofa,
We had to move furniture just to get the bed open
There wasn’t a sheet, and the bed is the worst thing I have ever slept on. Just because you give an egg crate pad doesn’t make it better- it sags in the middle and has metal bars everywhere
The bathroom floor is peeling up, there is mold and mildew everywhere the toilet had pubes/poop and pee on it and the bathroom sink was disgusting- I had to clean everything At midnight just so I could use it. I have rentals and I KNOW this wouldn’t pass for Covid or any kind of clean
The tv wouldn’t work, but came on by itself at 8 am
At midnight we didn’t notice the bugs that were everywhere inside. And the lights outside don’t even work so we had to use our flashlights to get in.
I thought it was bad in the dark, when I woke up it was even worse than I could imagine. And yes your day of message is correct when the bed is open there is no room to move so we had to crawl over eachother to do anything. Tiny House is one thing. But dirty, unsanitary, bugs, and you can see light through the door and maybe other places. We, again having two rural remote cabins we rent, could not stay there and had to spend all day to find a healthy safe place to sleep. I don’t even know what else to say.
