Welcome to our off the grid shouse in a little fishing village called Turkey Beach.
Enjoy bush views, relax with no distractions but the native wildlife that shows up at the door.
Minutes walk to the waters edge where you can swim in the enclosure/ launch your boat for a day of fishing/ go 4WD to Agnes.
We love fishing so we created an outdoor fishing table & sink for you to use. We are also Dog lovers so your furry kids are welcome but please respect our neighbours
New home that has been designed for the simple pleasures brining the outdoors inside. It is a three bedroom shed-home built using steel and colourbond hence the “Shouse” title.
The master room has bush views with the views continuing to the open lounge room and kitchen.
For those coffee lovers bring your Nespresso capsules and wake up with a cafe coffee.
We have an outdoor shower that has hot and cold water but for those that like a shower inside we have one of those too.
There is 8x outdoor director chairs for you to use, adult and kids bikes (bring a pump just in case) and also if you would like to make pizza we have an outdoor pizza oven.
There are many midges in this coastal town like many towns in this part of QLD, so we advise that you bring some insect spray and light some coils or a trick is to wear lose long pants. If there is no fire ban a campfire on dusk will do the trick.
There is no tv or Internet, and plenty of board games which is what we wanted to help create laughs and old skool memories with our loved ones.
The air-conditioning has been upgraded and best used with the ceiling fan to help circulate, but remember we run off solar so be comfortable but conscious. If it doesn't meet the desired level of cool, please use the 4 fans readily available.
Bringing your dogs?
Please ensure that your fur babies are under supervision, on a lead or a long rope while on the property to prevent it from roaming to neighbouring homes and disturbing their pets, their peace and childrens safety. Being responsible in such a manner will also protect the local kangaroos.
Drones - if drones are your thing, please only fly them over surrounding nature pathways, not neighbouring properties, disturbing their peace as this is likely reason they reside here.
