"Unfortunately the bathroom needed a shower screen or curtain over the bath. There was no soap etc, not good after Covid. There was no bottled water in the room. The bed was very hard. However, the hotel has a lovely ambience, unchanged for many years of our visiting. "

"Unfortunately although we had planned to stay overnight in Turckheim, our usual hotel had to close for emergency work, so this booking was a last minute decision. Although the location was right, we felt that the accommodation was very basic. The bathroom was clean but rather threadbare, with no extractor fan although it was in the corner of the bedroom. Parking was extremely difficult, and we had some distance to access the hotel carrying our luggage. We could not leave anything in the car...

"Just a lovely gite inside Turckheim’s old walls, wonderful shower, nice kitchen, very quiet and comfortable, plenty of space for a couple with a few small kids. The only negative was limited parking right near the gite, but plenty of parking a 3-4 minute walk away just outside the old town wall. We’ll definitely be going back here!!"

"Property was spotless when we walked in. It was more basic than English holiday cottages we've stayed in. The biggest problem was the kitchen and lack of cooking equipment such as enough chopping boards and no washing up bowl. We loved the terrace and had memorable times watching the storks. In the description the large spiral staircase to access the front door should be shown and highlighted as a possible challenge for less able visitors. "I have no idea how you take a medieval town wall and update it to current amenities, but it has been done beautifully in this apartment! Turkheim is a treasure and so authentic. So very glad we had the opportunity to stay here as a part of our Christmas Markets epic trip!"

"Our third trip to Alsace and first stay in Turckheim. The train station is literally a few min walk and provides easy access to Colmar, Strasbourg, etc. So many great must see villages, must try wines, must see vineyards and tasting rooms and great restaurants. Our host, Gregory was extremely helpful with suggestions and area advice; just a delight ! We highly recommend"
