The staff tried to charge me more money than what was stated in my reservation through Expedia. The staff would not even listen to me. The staff did not even want to see my receipt from Expedia. They just keep insisting I must pay more money. The receipt clearly stated the amount I was to pay directly to the hotel. The staff keep insisting I pay more than that. I had to leave the hotel and call Expedia, who agreed with me, so Expedia then called the hotel and told them to stop demanding more money than what was agreed-upon through the reservation. Expedia is very good in disclosing exactly what must be paid to the hotel and whether there might be additional charges. In this case had the staff listened to me or had the staff been willing to look at my receipt, they could’ve avoided causing me a lot of stress. In the end, Expedia explained to me that the hotel had increased their rates without telling Expedia. The hotel finally agreed that I should not have to pay anything additional than what was stated on my agreed-upon reservation. But the staff was very rude by not listening and not looking at my receipt. The hotel is the one that works with Expedia so they should’ve contacted Expedia and worked it out instead of causing me stress and instead of demanding me to pay more than what was stated in my receipt for my reservation.
