We stayed for a week during my daughters college graduation. This house is perfect for relaxing with family. There’s a lot more room than we expected, two office areas that we used almost daily and the pool area is set up great for entertaining. You feel very secluded and it has a very comfortable resort vibe. I would definitely stay here again!
We had the best of times at Tanque Verde. Three generations of our family gathered there for an early Christmas. We especially enjoyed the location which allowed us to readily visit the National Park and Sabino Canyon. The host was very helpful from first to last.
The property and location are exceptional. We spent our annual Spring Break trip with our 8 year old granddaughter. We swam every day in the saline pool and enjoyed S’mores at the fire pit. The walled yard was safe for our dogs, even when the coyotes and javelinas roamed just outside. The views from bedrooms and living room are spectacular. It’s a short walk to Sajuaro National Park (with immediate access to a dog- friendly trail. Jonas made check in and our stay a breeze. He readily answered questions so we could enjoy our stay.
We had an amazing time! The views out the window were breathtaking with the monsoon weather. We loved the spacious atmosphere and all the amenities. Would highly recommend!!!
As small business owners, it's difficult to find time to relax and unwind. We had a wonderful time floating in the pool, and resting. The beds were comfortable, the views amazing and the ability to bring the dog made the trip even better. This was a beautiful place to stay.
We had such a wonderful retreat at Tanque Verde. The salt water pool was a perfect temperature, the quiet, peaceful environment was a great get away. The views from the living room are spectacular at sunset, and the coyotes at night were awesome to hear. Loved every minute and will be back!
We had a great stay. The hiking, birds and wildlife made this house extra special. The house was well stocked with all we needed to cook or grill and had grocery stores close by. The pool, hot tub and seating areas let us enjoy the outside space. Views of the mountains were beautiful.
Older interesting home. Outside area is outstanding- could not ask for a better space. Lots of places to sit, inside and out. Had all the amenities. Hosts were available if needed. Beds were extremely comfortable with great linens. Dishes etc were plentiful.
Perfect house for my family of 4 to spend over the Thanksgiving holiday. We are avid hikers and this is such a great spot, walking distance to Saguaro NP and easy drive to Mt. Lemmon and Sabino Canyon. More than enough room for a family to spread out. Kitchen had everything we needed, even to cook a thanksgiving meal. We used the pool/hot tub each day and had excellent communication with the owner and property manager. Tons of privacy.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It is in an excellent location, just outside of town offering privacy and convenience. It is close to many Of the area highlights, making it a great base camp to hike/visit Tanque Verde Falls, Saguaro National Park, Sabino Canyon and Mount Lemmon Hwy. The owners were very responsive and easy to work with. The house is fully equipped with high end large and small appliances. The beds are comfortable and there is plenty of room inside. The pool/spa and outdoor living space has multiple seating areas and our kids spent countless hours in the large swimming pool. We full enjoyed our week!
This beautiful property was everything we hoped for, and more. The multiple outdoor seating areas gave us many options for social distancing from our adult daughters, who had flown in from other cities. We loved the shelter offered by the screened porch when the wind kicked up a couple days during our stay. The patio table and grill area under the Ramada were ideal for outdoor dining. It was chilly after the sun went down, but blankets and our own small gas firepit kept us comfortable. With the coyote packs howling and yipping in the distance, sitting under the stars overlooking the beautiful pool is a special memory. The beds were so comfortable (and they recline!) and the kitchen had everything we needed, including brand new, very sharp kitchen knives. This is an interesting older home with lots of character and beautiful decorations that offers stunning desert views out every single window. We were very impressed by the excellent communication from the owners. They went above and beyond to provide a couple of specialty items we required, for which we were grateful. We will not hesitate to return to this home for future stays!
Outside of some airport transfers in Phoenix, I had never spent time in Arizona. Three wonderful weeks at Cordoniz Ranch gave me the best possible introduction to the state. Tucson was having a wet rainy season, which meant that the Sonoran desert was lush and teaming with life; I would never have expected so much green in August.
The house itself has every convenience, especially the kitchen. You could prepare a gourmet feast for 12 if you wanted to (so of course I only used the coffee maker and the microwave). The screened-in Arizona Room was a revelation: I had all my meals there and (thanks to the wifi) was even able to get some work done every day. It was a great location to watch lightning off in the distance, or to enjoy the rain when it came. The desert is teaming with critters and bugs; it’s remarkable how well the house keeps them all outside. The pool is beautiful and the spa was easy to operate. In my experience, most spas have a shallower and a deeper section; this one had a deep end within the deeper part that you could actually stand in, which felt luxurious.
The location is, simply, outstanding. The ranch is in a quiet neighborhood with large lots, many of them working ranches; you’ll occasionally see people out riding (they’re serious about horses in Tucson). As others have indicated, the views are stunning; I stared at the ever-changing sky for hours. Sunsets are especially magical. During the search process it somehow failed to register to me that the house is just a 10-minute walk from the Broadway Trailhead of the Saguaro National Park, which meant that I could start every day with a spectacular hike (and be home by 9 for coffee in the Arizona Room). I was incredibly lucky with wildlife sightings at the park (highlights included a couple Gila monsters and a tortoise).
The owners were friendly and easy to deal with. I had a couple questions while there; Jono responded within minutes. There was a pool issue that could have potentially cast a pall over my final week – Jono got it fixed promptly and proactively, for which I remain grateful.
I still can’t quite believe my good fortune that my first exposure to Tucson was at Cordoniz Ranch during an exceptionally green summer. The whole experience was magical.
This is our second time visiting this property. This time we brought friends and everyone enjoyed. Plenty of space for all of us to spread out and sleep. Beds were fantastic and lots of nice upgrades including the pool and bathrooms! Kitchen is very well stocked - we cooked a Thanksgiving feast and had everything we needed.
Views are amazing, we hope to visit again soon.
The view out each window was like a postcard photo. All was well maintained and functional. Kitchen was fabulous. Furniture and beds very comfortable. The fireplace was nice in the cool evenings. The site is rather remote which is precisely what we wanted. No noise or backyard view of neighbors. Pool and hot tub were great and heated just right. To top things off, Jono was easy to contact I needed. Very, very relaxing for all.
This was far and above one of the best properties we have ever stayed. I don’t think there was really anything that could have been done better for us. Location-close to stores but felt a million miles away from everything. Outdoor and indoor space impeccable. We all loved our stay.
We stayed at this beautiful property for over a week and it met all of our expectations, with tons of room for everyone. The kitchen and BBQ area were well stocked, with plenty of tools to work with for meal prep. We had to reach out to the host a couple times for minor mechanical issues, and he exceeded our expectations by responding within minutes, and having the issues resolved within hours! Couldn’t have asked for more! Thanks so much!
Far and away the best place we have stayed. From the gorgeous scenery to the absolute comfort of the house, it worked out perfect. The kitchen had newer appliances that made cooking very easy and efficient. Will definitely be staying here again in future. Great owners that responded to questions very quickly.
Whenever we travel, I like to find that unique spot that is completely different and puts us in the culture of the community and this place was spot on! The views are spectacular. We had 6 adults stay completely comfortable - lots of space. The kitchen is fully stocked with all of the equipment needed for cooking meals "at home".
Getting to a walking trail of the Saguaro National Park is only 1/2 mile away. But you are a few miles to grocery stores and restaurants. I highly recommend the Houghton Meat Market if you are planning to cook. Otherwise the Barnyard Crafthouse and Bear Canyon Pizza are not too far away!
Myself and 7 friends stayed here for our annual get together. This year was Tucson, and this property does a great job providing a real desert experience given that it is just a few steps from Saguaro National Park. Nights by the fire were accompanied by coyote calls from outside the walls, and dark skies for viewing the stars. The pool was perfect for days between outings and the spa was great for evenings after a major mountain hike and off-road UTV adventure. For the duration of our weeklong stay, the house supported all of our needs (including our cooking) with any issues addressed by Jono.
The house is on the edge of the wild desert so we did find a few critters in the yard and the odd scary spider around the house. The local among our group said this was to be expected and just broke out the bug spray.
The outdoor grill area could use a little TLC, but didn't put any damper on our barbecuing.
Overall had a great time and would return to this property.
