This is my second time here. Both times were underwhelming, but this stay will be my last. Initially I had a room on the 2nd floor, but the tiles in the bathroom were deeply cracked, and I could feel the floor sagging underfoot. The staff immediately got me a room on the 3rd floor, which was good. This room ALSO had cracked tiles in the bathroom, but not as bad, and no sagging.
I also found a Guinness beer bottle under the bed, by accidentally hitting it with my toe. Thankfully I had sandals on! Who knows how long that bottle had been there? I didn't look under the bed any further.
Otherwise, it's a very average hotel. I get it, it's a Holiday Inn Express, I'm not expecting the Ritz Carlton. But "Suites" is a stretch, when many regular hotels nowadays include a mini fridge and microwave. When I went to use the hand sanitizer dispenser by the elevator, the sanitizer smelled like sewage! I don't know how you get sanitizer to smell like that, unless it's years old, or not actually sanitizer. Oof.
