Relief from the cold weather of the pacific northwest
We had a fantastic stay and enjoyed getting a break from the terrible weather up in Portland Oregon. Sarah was an absolute perfect host. Communication was fantastic and accommodations were wonderful. As a fellow VRBO property owner myself, I highly suggest this place.

Cute and close to everything
Spent the week here with my parents, husband and 7yo son, everyone loved the retro vibe of the house, and while the pool was a lil cold for me (it was February) that didn't stop my son from using it and having a great time! Ron stopped by the house 1 day to check on the pool and provided us with a lot of great things to do in the area. The location was great, was close to just about everything and was a nice quiet neighborhood. We will definitely stay here again in the future!

The "Gem" on Hawthorne
We were here for 19 wonderful nights during the annual Tucson Mineral and Fossil Show. The house was immaculate, the kitchen amazing, the beds comfortable. Ron, the property manager, was very helpful. This is a very special property with an interesting history. We look forward to our stay in 2025!

We (self, spouse, and 2 adult children) stayed at this property for 5 nights, April 3 - April 8, 2024. The property was very clean, comfortable, and well decorated and appointed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and felt very much at home. It was perfect and I can't think of any needed improvements. We would happily stay there again. Laurie

Great little oasis in the city
Check in was easy even when we requested to do so early. House had everything we needed. Beds were comfortable. Lots of upgrades to a vintage house (it is adorable). Lots of outdoor seating and shade. Aside from the pool, the grass and huge shade tree helped to keep us cool too. Would definitely stay here again.

Great property
This was an excellent space--so easy to get to places we wanted to visit. Necessary stores nearby. Great place for our two dogs, as well. The dog space has plenty of room, so they could run around. It was quiet. And it was well-stocked with what we needed to do our own cooking when we wanted. Would highly recommend this property! Thank you!

Convenient and comfortable!
We loved everything about this home. Perfectly located, quiet, private, so very comfortable. We only used the master bed, which was very comfortable. Fully stocked kitchen, excellent layout in living room with a comfortable couch and fireplace. Loved the backyard, especially for our Labrador. Hope to come back in the future. Would highly recommend!

The house was great; it was very roomy and clean. We enjoyed the central location and the owner/manager was very helpful, especially since I locked myself out of the house twice. Ha! The house was also very well stocked with kitchen and bathroom supplies. My grandson loved the pool and the shaded backyard. Will rent again when I visit Tucson.

This was such an incredible property! The pictures don't do it enough justice. Everything was super clean and the decor was super unique. My entire family enjoyed everything about the house. The owner was very nice and communicated quickly utilizing emails and texts. I couldn't have asked for a better place to relax and take in the surroundings than this property. I will absolutely be back and will probably stay longer because it is such a great place. Totally blew me away, I highly recommend to anyone traveling to Tucson!!

Unique Tucson Home
We loved staying in this home in Tucson. It was close to everything we wanted to do. We went hiking, drove to Bisbee, went to the Gem & Mineral show at the convention center, and walked around downtown. We enjoyed sitting outside in the late afternoon sun. The pool was nice but too cold to swim. The house was really nice and so very clean! Plenty of room if you have large family but not too big for just us two. Everything we needed to enjoy our stay was availabe to us.

We really enjoyed our stay at this unique and funky house, clean, comfortable, great back yard. Even good bike storage in the breezeway. The Kitchen is even better than the photos, nicely stocked with equipment and spices. Much appreciated. Loved the history of the "Gem House". My husband said it's one of his favorites and we have stayed in a ton of VRBO's around the world in some amazing places. But, he was just that comfortable there that he ranked it super high. Thanks for preserving the this mid century gem.

Tuscon is great!!
This neighborhood was quiet, maybe a bit sketchy. Watch when driving, stop signs at crossings were not obeyed… almost got t-boned. House itself was awesome….retro vibe. Anyone over 5’6 will not like the showers,,,, very low. Solar heated pool…. Misrepresented …. No solar cover…. No solar heat even with the lovely weather. This house was close to everything we wanted to do. Easy to get in touch with the owner!!!

A very nice place to be
We really enjoyed our time at this home during our month long stay in Tucson. It was very clean, very spacious, nicely furnished and had a well-stocked kitchen which we really appreciated since we fixed quite a few meals there. And we were very happy to have off street parking with the car port. The backyard was a great place to relax in. It was too cool to use the pool but stretching out in the sun on the lounge chairs was wonderful as was sitting in the swing and enjoying drinks. Sarah, the Property Manager, called to see how we were doing shortly after we checked in and later on during our month there. She was very accessible and quickly responded to questions we had. We had an issue with a kitchen light that she fixed immediately. We had a great time at this property; it was one of the nicest we have stayed in.
