Have a hot cup of coffee each morning watching the fog over the lake & mountains cross in quiet stillness. Read your favorite book from a rocking chair or hammock or delight in the company of your family or friends in our swings, deck furniture, hot tub, around our firetable or around one of 2 rock gas log fireplaces. Foosball table and 5 smart TV's are for all ages. We even have a playground with a swing set for your little ones.

Whether you're into the serenity of a hammock or grilling on our gas grill or roasting marsh mellows' on a fire table on the deck, we have a lifestyle geared for the entire family. For the boating enthusiasts, we have 5 recreational kayaks, 2 canoes, a rowboat and peddleboat not to mention lifejackets, paddles and oars. Fish or swim off the boat dock on wonderful Cedar Cliff Lake. Serenity on Cedar' is the perfect mountain vacation getaway for a family vacation, retreat, reunion or a secluded honeymoon haven. Only 7 miles to WCU and close to Wedding Destination Castle Ladyhawk!

Our mountain lake cabin is the essence of tranquility for peace seeking travelers and family vacation fun.

Our cabin is located within close proximity to Western Carolina University (WCU), Castle Ladyhawk, the Blue Ridge Parkway, Highlands, Nantahala, historic Dillsboro, the Great Smoky Mountain Railway, the Cherokee Indian Reservation, Harrah's Casino, Smokey Mountain National Park, Maggie Valley, Bryson City. Our part of the mountains did not suffer damage caused by Hurricane Helene. The roads are good as long as you make sure you can maneuver around roads in the greater Asheville area.

Serene and Beautiful
This was our second stay at the peaceful and quiet Serenity on Cedar cabin for our family reunion. We plan on returning next year. The cabin is very clean and perfect for all of our needs. The children love the spacious cabin and the hot tub and the multiple deck levels. The lake and mountain views from the deck are spectacular. The kitchen and dining area meets all of the needs of our family. Carol is an excellent host and is very responsive. We love her for how she makes us feel welcome and how she maintains a clean cabin. .

We stayed in this property for the Fourth of July weekend and this house exceeded our expectations the views were amazing and the house was very well equipped with things for everyone in our family to enjoy the owner Carol was supper helpful from beginning to end would recommend this property to anyone looking for a mountain get away!

We enjoyed the house and the view of the lake even though the construction across the way was going on while we were there. It was nice to have 3 levels - one for each family to use and the extra kitchen helped to supplement the well supplied main kitchen. We had a great time.

Secluded Paradise
This cabin turned out to be perfect for our weekend wedding stay. Our niece was married at Ladyhawk Castle and this cabin was ideal. The lake view from the balcony gorgeous along with the fire pit. It made for some memorable nights. The kids enjoyed the hot tub as well. The mountains are beautiful surrounding the well equipped cabin. We loved our stay. The owner was very helpful in giving directions and other information. We would highly recommend this vacation home!

Our family stayed at Serenity on Cedar for a family reunion being held in the area. The cabin was very clean and perfect for our needs. It had everything; being well equipped and spacious. The children loved the televisions and the hot tub. The view from the deck overlooking the lake was awesome and relaxing. Carol was an excellent host and very responsive.

Great weekend away
Perfect property for a weekend getaway. The road to get there is a little sketchy, but no problem for 4-wheel drive vehicles. Beautiful view, well-stocked kitchens, and clean bedrooms/bathrooms. Would definitely stay here again.

The cabin was everything it was advertised to be. We had a great time, and hope to go back. We talked several times about how, if guests can't relax there, they probably won't be able to relax anywhere.

Thank you sharing your cabin with us, Carol. So relaxing and comfortable. We enjoyed the gas fireplace in the mornings and evenings. We enjoyed the ambiance it created and it was perfect and just enough for taking the chill off without needing to change the thermostat. The weather was perfect, low 70s. We enjoyed watching the crews working on the barges and even got to experience them blasting the mountainside. It was truly intriguing and we were glad we could experience that, too. The lake view was still beautiful, even though the lake was drained down for work being done on the dam. Carol is very easy to work with.

Spacious & beautiful views! Quiet and serene.
We were two families who stayed at this property. We thoroughly loved all the space and had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and memorable. Loved that we had the use of 2 kitchens, which made it easier to make meals and have enough space for all of us. This cabin suited our needs perfectly and gave us the Fall getaway reprieve atmosphere we needed.

Beautiful cabin in a secluded location! Sad that the lake was not accessible. View was nice and it was interesting to watch workers at the dam. The road to the cabin and the driveway we're somewhat difficult. Over, we had a great time!

Tuckasegee lake house
We loved the house. It was perfect for our family get-together. We wish that the lake level had been up so that we could take the canoes and kayaks out on the lake, but we knew that going in. We had a bit of a problem checking in because the house number was on a post very near the only other house on the street, which also seems to be a rental, so we spent a frustrating half hour trying figure out why we couldn't get in before we noticed the driveway and gate to the correct house. However, all was good once we figured that out and we had a great time at the house and exploring the area.

Absolutely breathtaking!
The property and views are gorgeous. So peaceful and relaxing! I would definitely recommend taking an SUV as the driveway is a challenge for a low sitting car. Overall the vacation was a 10!🤗
