The architecture and property setting is charming. The nearby artist's village is charming. The golf course was fun! The food was good, staff nice. The beds are not comfortable. Old style squeaky box spring mattresses. The individual room heaters are noisey. The plantation shutters don't block out the outdoor lighting that is on outside each unit. The water pressure was low and then shut-off without notifying us. Updates are long overdue.

The rooms are very dark. My a/c didn't work and I had to ask for another room. They had to verify that it didn't work and finally moved me. No view. Bath/shower had no grab bar and no rubber mat for the bottom. The duvet smelled of other people. The room was given to me because I indicated it on Expedia and they had a large wedding that weekend. I arrived on Sunday. The landscaping is haphazardly maintained BUT the restaurant the Stables was very nice. Good quality food with variety and very gracious, helpful staff including the manager. This is unlike the front desk staff which was unpleasant in general. No effort to make it a great stay. They never smiled once and acted like I was an imposition. No interest in returning.

The exercise room needs a major overhaul. $25.00 "Resort" Fee. Never seen another "resort" that has signs that say you'll be charged $25- for pool towels that are not returned to the room or $10.00 /key if ALL plastic keys are not returned upon checkout. Food was outstanding!

Despite one of the rude front desk employees it was wonderful. The casita was gorgeous and convenient to the pool. The beds weren’t the best and the in room coffee but overall a great stay. We got a $30 gift card from a gentlemen who must of been a owner because they were doing some yard work around us during our stay which wasn’t a big deal for us but it was kind of him. The restaurant staff is so friendly and kind as well but they need work on the front desk, I wish I would have gotten her name but she has other complaints on her I heard.

Always a 5 star, only wish they had a good coffee shop that offered lattes, americanos. Just not the same when you have to go to the restaurant and order coffee from the hostess for a coffee to go. That would be an over the top five star if a coffee bar were added….. We love Tubac Golf and Spa, it’s a must go!!!!

Nice historic resort. Beautiful grounds. Staff was incorrect on stating that stores in Tubac were closed on Sunday. Terrible cell phone coverage. Wi-Fi was weak. Rooms were nicely appointed. Restaurant was dark, loud and dated. Food was decent.

Great weekend escape
My husband and I were visiting a friend in the Tubac area, and decided to stay at this resort, the pictures don't do it any justice. It was a perfect weekend escape, snuggled with mountain, and beautiful landscaping. The rustic rooms, wonderful dinning with live music with fantastic views, the whole property was amazing. The pools were amazing, very clean. Shout out to the friendly staff. Everyone made our stay as perfect as it could be.

Great Stay
Very rustic, nostalgic place to stay. Room was a little humid and too dark. There were lamps, of course, but it was still dark. The bathroom was roomy, clean, and convenient.
