"Very traditional Japanese hotel. Enjoyed the experience but as an American, I didn’t think the food was very good and I typically love Japanese food. There was an excessive use of gelatin coating on many of the dishes. Also, 2.25 hours for dinner was too long. We waited 15 mins after finishing each course to get the next one. "

"We had an amazing time at this Ryokan - traditional Japanses hotel. We had a junior suite, so spacious, itcwas so relaxing. Buffet breakfast, good selection was included. We had kimonos, socks and shoes in room and traditional sweets in room everyday with an explanation of their origin. Would recommend the teahouse evening with tea house tour. Walking takes 30 mins to castle and centre."

"This was my favorite stay out of all of my accomodations in Japan even if I was only there for a day (wish I stayed longer!). Soku-san and his wife are the kindest people ever and offered amazing hospitality. Gao is the cutest dog I've ever seen and I was super happy to get a picture with him at the end of my stay. "This was one of the best hotels I've stayed at. The breakfast is amazing, there's plenty of restaurants nearby, you can walk to many of the city sights, the staff are excellent, the room is comfortable, and so on. I'll be staying here the next time I pass through Kanazawa!"

Great Stay & Value, Wonderful Amenities

"Great location as it was close to attractions, bus line, train station and restaurants. It was a beautiful hotel. Bed was comfortable. They provided excellent amenities that are rare to receive back in the US. Loved having a refrigerator, microwave and washer/dryer. Only wish there was a second chair with a backrest not just a stool to sit on at the table in the room. Would readily stay here again. "

"SOKI Hotel is beautiful and has great amenities! The rooms are very clean comfortable and have a nice view of the surrounding area. The public baths are nice as well. The Omicho market is right across the street. There are also multiple beautiful shrines within close walking distance. I will definitely be back! "
