INSIDE THE HOME

On the main floor of this unique split-level chalet style home, guests will find an open plan main living area with a large, comfortable living room, large, bright kitchen, dining area, generous patio with a BBQ and incredible views and stunning primary suite. The lower floor of Northstar offers guests even more comfortable living spaces, with a casual den, two additional bedrooms and two bathrooms plus an outdoor hot tub.
Maximum 2 pets allowed and $100/pet fee must be paid before check-in.

The Northstar Home Away from Home is located in the gorgeous Northstar neighborhood, just south of Truckee. Guests at Northstar are only a few minutes away from Northstar Golf Course, the shores of Lake Tahoe, and Northstar Village where you can find gondolas to take you up to Northstar California Resort for skiing and snowboarding! Plus, Guests at Northstar also have access to the Northstar Property Owners’ Association (NPOA) Recreation Center for only a small fee per day!

Cozy cabin !
Had a great stay at this North Star cabinGreat views from the living room Great location to the village and shuttle literally picks/drops you from the cabins’ front door Only thing to be aware is there are coyotes that came to the edge of the property where golf course is so be careful - we had a small dog so kept it on leash Cabin was very clean and cozy and great fireplace and hot tub was perfect !

We had a wonderful time at this property! The hosts were gracious and let us have an early check in and a late check out. The views from the deck were gorgeous and the hot tub was perfect at the end of the day. Will definitely stay there again!

Great Northstar Rental
We had a perfect 3 night stay at this spacious, comfortable, well-detailed home. The area is quiet, gorgeous and within a stone’s throw of Northstar. We will (hopefully) return next year.

Exceeded Expectations
We stayed for Thanksgiving and were really impressed with the the whole house, the layout and cleanliness. We enjoyed cooking our Turkey in a well stocked kitchen and sitting by the fireplace. Great location in the North Star resort area. Will definitely recommend and come back in the future.

This was a great stay for us. There was plenty of room to spread out, a gorgeous view from the main room and kitchen, along with a lovely deck and hot tub. The shuttle to the village is easy and quick. We would love to own a house like this!

Great house, beautiful views
Our family enjoyed a fantastic long weekend at this cozy house. The location is fantastic for all Northstar activities and a quick 15 minute drive down to the lake or up to Truckee. Having a separate bathroom for each bedroom made it convenient for us with a toddler as well. We will be back!

Great property-bad weather
We had a wonderful say even with a rainy week. Property was great. Only issue my wife and I had was there were more steps than we anticipated. On a very positive note, the access to the community center pool and gym made it easier to get past the rain. There was also easy access to the golf course which had no snow so we could take some great walks with our dog.

Home had all the amenities as advertised. The place was well appointed, clean, & comfortable. Easy shuttle ride to NorthStar Ski Resort. We enjoyed the hot tub after a day of skiing. Our 2 year old Chocolate Lab enjoyed the snow field behind the property. We would definitely stay there again! Thanks for letting us check in early!

Northstar Home Away From Home
We had the most amazing 4 days at Northstar Home Away From Home! It is such a beautiful home with so much space and amazing views. Everything was impeccably clean and the home was comfortable and inviting. Northstar ski resort is literally a few minutes drive and Palisades only 30 minutes. We honestly couldn't have asked for a more perfect "home base" for our skiing adventures and Tahoe getaway. We will absolutely be recommending this rental to friends and family and hope to return ourselves someday!

Very Nice Place
We greatly enjoyed our stay at the Northstar Home Away From Home. The living area has tons of light with high ceilings and large windows and there are a lot of nice touches with condiments, oils, salt and pepper as well as shampoo, conditioner and body wash in all of the showers. The beds were very comfortable and the hot tub was such a nice treat after a day of skiing. Our only challenge was with the steep driveway. It was definitely difficult to navigate with the winter conditions and I would encourage the management company to ensure that it's cleared on a daily basis. Our friends who came for dinner had to have their car towed out of the driveway, but we were able to figure out how to accelerate up the driveway.

Perfect Paradise
My husband and I took our 16 month old daughter and 11 year old husky on a last minute trip to Tahoe because we're not sure how much longer our old girl has and we wanted to get her to the snow. There weren't many dog-friendly properties available last minute but we decided to splurge on this one (big house for just us three + a dog) - and we were so glad we did. It was peaceful and just so perfect for us. We brought a baby gate, sleds and blackout shades of our own but they had all of that stuff there. This was our first trip with a toddler so it was a nice surprise to see a rental with stuff that *we* almost forgot! The trip got off to a rocky start and we ended up having to go up a day later than we had booked but they were so amazing and let us bump our trip instead of us just missing out on a day (which I fully expected to have to eat). The house is a split level with the main living space being upstairs. We honestly couldn't decide where to stay because both areas were so great. It is an awesome layout for a big family, two families or a group of friends. The kitchen had literally everything you could ever need. There were games and plenty of things to watch on TV when we wanted to relax after putting the baby to bed. The view is so peaceful. We walked right out the back to our own snow heaven! Our daughter had a great time just wandering around in the snow. Couldn't say more about this property. We really enjoyed it and will absolutely be back, with friends, or just our little family. It's worth the splurge to enjoy the peace by ourselves! 10/10 would recommend!
