This was our second time at the cabin -- the location is great! We enjoyed the 'wood' stove, and the bed is very comfortable. Looking forward to our next visit!
This cabin provides the best amenities and location to old town truckee. Easy to get to local resorts either with driving or by using local transportation. Enjoy!

Beautiful cottage, thoughtfully designed, excellent location, walking distance to town.
Perfect for family of three. Highlights: cozy gas fireplace in living room, full kitchen, very comfortable bedding, well cared for grounds (i.e. perfect snow removal), and great communication!
My husband and I loved staying at this cabin. Wonderful location with walking distance to the shops and little restaurants/ coffee shops. Bed is super comfy. Very close to palisade so perfect for our ski weekend. We had such a lovely time.
The only negative was that the refrigerator was smelly so hopefully that can be fixed before the next guest.
All in all, it was wonderful and we hope to stay again!
The pictures do not do it justice. It appears recently renovated and it was super clean.
The kitchen and paper goods were exceptionally well stocked.
The grill and back yard are fantastic.
It is an easy walk to downtown.
We loved staying here.
Our quick getaway to Mitch’s cabin was great and just what we needed! The cabin is very well appointed and the finishes are really nicely done. Loved that it was dog friendly so that our beloved pup could come with us. The location is excellent too - a very quick walk to town. It snowed the second night and as others have noted, Mitch had the front walk cleared early, which was much appreciated. An all around perfect stay; thanks Mitch!
While the house is small, it never felt cramped with 4 of us. It has been nicely designed, looks clean and modern, with a great shower. And, even though it snowed continuously for 2 days, the walkway was cleared of snow daily, or more.

Quaint Cozy Cabin
The "Cabin" as it is called by the owners, is a cozy, one bedroom unit with all the modern conveniences but full of charm and whimsy. This was restored/built by one of the owners and his artistic touches are everywhere--gorgeous wood floors, interesting tile work throughout and an old-fashioned gas pot bellied stove in the main room. A great romantic spot for two in an ideal Truckee location!

We Loved This Cabin
From the floor plan to the quality touches makes this cabin perfect for us. The kitchen is outfitted with anything you would possibly need. Set back from a dead end road makes for quiet nights. We stayed four nights but hope to stay alittle longer the next time. Thank you Mitch , I can see that you took a lot of care to make your cabin special.
Mitch has thought of everything. The property has everything you need and is walking distance to downtown Truckee and all it has to offer. Great walking trails for people and dogs are right outside your door. We are a family of 4 with a very big teenager and a dog . It worked out great.
Conveniently located 2 blocks from Old Town Truckee on a quiet dead end street. It is a 25 minute drive to Sugar Bowl or Squaw/Alpine. Close to places to walk the dog. Counter big enough for a sewing machine and cutting board. The decor is rustic but comfortable and fully stocked.

Beautiful cabin. Enjoyed the backyard area and barbecue. Love the cabin and like others have said the 600 square feet of living space seems much larger. It was very well laid out.
Super comfortable bed and great pillows. It was kind of cool to hear the trains at night. Location is great for walking to historic downtown Truckee. Great trail down to the river for walking dogs. We didn't fish it though because of the stress on them. Maybe spring for fishing when we get LOTS OF SNOW! Loved the coffee you provided Mitch! Thanks so much we will be back.
Wonderful spot for my 60th birthday with my husband. Beautifully remodeled, furnished, appointed. Super cozy for two w/ great heating when it's cold outside. It was a bit too chilly to bbq with snow out back but there was a very nice broiler on the Kitchenaid oven for our steaks and burgers. Quiet, by the way.
Yes, there is a train that runs through town but I am a light sleeper and it didn't bother me -- only added to the ambience of the historic town. The house is very close to Cornerstone Bakery, Moody's, the shops. 10 stars out of 5 for cleanliness. In a word: terrific.
