This bright, spacious home in Northstar ski resort between Truckee and Lake Tahoe boasts shared amenities, as well as easy access to nearby towns and the slopes and two private decks with views of Martis Valley. At-home amenities include a gas fireplace, flatscreen cable TV with DVD player, and private washer/dryer.

Northstar skiing, mountain biking, golf, movies, shopping, recreation center, and dining are just a free shuttle ride away. Lake Tahoe, Kings Beach, Crystal Bay casinos, and Truckee are all within 10 miles, and Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows Ski Areas are 18 miles away. Activities include downhill, boarding, Nordic skiing, snowshoeing, and ice skating in the winter, and outdoor movies and concerts, roller skating, golf, horseback riding, and hiking in the summer.

Things to Know
Access to the recreation center amenities costs an additional $10 per-day fee for each guest five years or older.
Due to the Placer County Code for BBQs, BBQ is currently not available. Northstar Rec Center Does have an open grass area with BBQs that are first come, first serve. NPOA’s BBQ sites are situated next to a beautiful creek surrounded by pine, fir, and aspen trees. Site rentals include the use of three picnic tables and up to two gas BBQs with grilling utensils. The renting party is responsible for providing any additional tables and chairs. The adjacent lawn by the site is not available for tables/chairs. Please contact the front desk for more booking information. Cost of Admission is $10 per person per day.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles.

Ski shuttle details: A seasonal free shuttle connects the complex with the Village at Northstar (ski base area, shopping, dining, movie theater) and also with golf, other communities in Northstar, and public transportation. 530-562-2257



Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Cozy but dated
Comfortable and cozy condo with lovely views from the balcony. Plenty of room to sleep and 2.5 bathrooms. Noisy due to planes and trains. Kitchen cookware not suitable for cooking and a very looooong walkway from the parking area with 22+ staggered steps made it a demanding load in/out for us two 70-year olds.

Gorgeous views, shuttle service was impeccable. The Condo was clean and comfortable, 6 ppl max. The walkway to the condo is long but always clear of snow and safe. We missed our first night stay due to road closure on Hwy 80. Buy trip insurance, lots of snow this year. We would stay again.

The home was cozy, clean with plenty of space. We enjoyed the living area and at night the fireplace was very relaxing. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were spacious. We all enjoyed the kitchen, it was well equipped and it fit up to 3 of us while we were cooking. We also took advantage of the Northstar pass, one afternoon we spent a few hours in the pool and jacuzzi. This was a nice perk that came with the house. Thank you so much for your home! We’ll definitely come back.

The good The condo is functional and clean, no major issues. Where things could improve The condo had no cleaning supplies, bring your own spray cleaners and paper towels! The main bed seemed liked a double, not a queen, and was too soft. Long walk from condo to shuttle to ski resort When I called about the reservation, I was on hold for over 15 min each time (spam filter was preventing the access code email from being received) though when I finally got through the issues was handled.

Quiet, but dated
The condo met our needs for a weekend family celebration at Tahoe. Not very crowded, so nice and quiet. The condo itself could use some updating. Appliances are old (no icemaker?) but functional. Bed in master needs replacing. The deck furniture seemed like it hadn't been cleaned off for a long time. Wifi worked well. Nice to have the bedrooms downstairs as it was really hot weather.

The condo was fine in terms of an accommodation but needs an update as kitchen tools and appliances were ancient -- as was the TV in the master bedroom. Things worked, but an improved decor would help, as would newer pillows and other touches. We didn't spend a lot of time there, but it's a good place and would be better if it was fixed up a bit.

Wonderful views, clean, convenient
We had a last minute need for a place at Northstar and this was available. While a bit tight and somewhat dated, the unit had a great view of Marti’s valley, was clean with a well set up kitchen, washer/ dryer, 3 bathrooms and 2 bedrooms. There was one problem with the shower head in one bathroom that requires attention: water is spraying out from the threads where the shower head attaches to the chrome pipe coming out of the wall. It looks like the pipe needs to be reattached to the shower head with new Teflon threading tape. It wasn’t a major issue for our stay, but something not likely to be seen by the cleaning crew till a major problem develops.
