Snow play getaway
This place is set up great for a large group. Our kids had a great time sledding, snow ball fights etc. Overall just a fun experience, weve stayed here a number of times over the years and will continue to come back in the future.

Wonderful House!
This house was beautiful! It was clean and very comfortable for our long weekend of skiing and sledding. Everything we needed was on hand. The owners appear to love their house and share it generously.

Overall this place is great! Very close to Donner Lake.. the firepit was great. The pool table and ping pong was what everyone needed. Very roomy.. we had 3 families and everyone had a room.

So much space for our family. Five bedrooms, large dining table, pool table, ping pong, and board games to play. Wonderful fire pit and patio area!! Perfect communication with the owner. Hope we can get our group here next year!!

Best family place!
We love coming to this cabin with our family for snow play or water play in the summer. Plenty of room for everyone, the granddaughters loved the Playhouse. Lots of room to spread out for reading or playing pool and the wonderful large table is perfect for family everything. Great communication with the host. We are so grateful to be able to come.

This was our second time staying at this property. The house is well laid out with plenty of room for everyone. It snowed every day we were there which was great for the kids. Curtis is very responsive with any concerns. Highly recommend this house.

What a great place to stay!!!
Lots of room, large dining table for family meals all together. 5 bedrooms was perfect for all adults and the kids. 12,10 and 4 played hours of pool and ping pong . We had lots of rain so the fireplace was a godsend. Donner lake is gorgeous and less crowded then Tahoe. We all had a great time. Sitting on the outdoor deck watching thunderstorms was excellent.

Had a great stay at this house. Host communication was outstanding. Great location near several ski resorts, and convenient to Truckee, i80, and Donner Lake. The house itself is great. Clean, spacious, well laid out. Great, well stocked kitchen! We had four adults and 5 kids and had plenty of space. Could have fit more.

Always a Great Time!
We’ve stayed at Curtis’s home winter and summer and it’s perfect for our family! Lots of room for games and our ping pong tournaments are getting quite competitive! Downstairs is easy care and we appreciate you letting us bring the dog who has more fun than we do! Beds are comfortable and Kitchen is well stocked. Easy Winter parking. Thanks for another fun family weekend!

My 2 sons and their families joined for a very brief 2 night getaway.
The house had plenty of space for 8 of us and there could have been easily 4 more. Having 3 bathrooms was a huge plus for us and the pool/ping pong table was great fun for the kids. The kitchen was well stocked and the fire pit was a big plus. It is an older property and has some maintenance issues that need to be addressed. The property manager was responsive and our getaway was very pleasant !!!

We come back and stay at least twice a year, and we love it! Perfect yard to sled in and play in the snow without having to worry about your kids being too close to a street. With 5 bedrooms and a loft there’s plenty of room for everyone! Kitchen is well stocked and set up well for cooking/serving everyone in your party. Owner is responsive and easy to deal with. We’ll be back!

The house had plenty of room for our group of 8 adults and two kids. We went during a winter storm with lots of fresh snow. Curtis was very responsive to our messages and patient with our worries about the weather. The kids had a ton of fun in the powder. We lost power almost every night but it was back up pretty quick.

Curtis Home
Donner lake was a midpoint for family members coming from California, Paris, and Utah. We had another house rented for the younger portions of our family, which was just down Judah. We could visit each other, play, hot tub, and chat. We found everything we needed. We even saw a bear above the house scratching around. Perfect place, love the fireplace, pool table, and three places to gather and catch up. Thank you so much for your help getting in.

Family Trip to the Snow!
A very nice house with lots of space for our whole family. Kitchen is stocked with a lot of large pots and pans, plenty of cups, plates & utensils and a very large dining table. The adults and kids had a lot of fun at the house - ping pong, darts, games and lots of snow for sledding. It was so convenient for the kids to walk out the door and go sledding! It is very close to Donner Lake and we tried some fishing but had no luck. It's also close to Boreal and we made use of the $25 lift ticket day! We'd love to come back when the snow melts and use the fire pit and hopefully have better luck fishing!

Great cabin
Unlike some rentals, this home has a genuine cabin look and feel, inside and out. The large fireplace that opens to the seating area on one side and the long dining (games) table on the other is a great set-up. (The photos online made me think/assume incorrectly that the pool/ping-pong table was in a separate area, but it is part of the open plan ground floor. That was not a problem; I am just telling people who might expect a separate area.) AWESOME sledding area that snakes around the back and side of the house. Plus a walk to the lake ... where there happens to be a nearby pub.
