Saying that, I think that is also important to highlight that Chau Doc is a very interesting city to visit because of its diversity and magnificent scenery by the river. The Victoria Hotel will meet the expectations of the most exigent traveler. I highly recommend this hotel."

"There is a great write up in the recent Lonely Planet Guide about Murray Guesthouse being a wonderful addition to the Chau Doc accommodation options... a great guest lounge, roof terrace, bar, pool table and great breakfast. Sadly no longer... none of these exists! Instead we had a poor welcome, accusing us of having cancelled, the bedside lights didn't work, our friend had no toilet paper or a toilet that flushed. It is very cheap to stay there and it is clean, but that is it."
