Wonderful base camp for weekend on MDI
Favorite parts were Thornton, free laundry, access to full kitchen and the rooms. I wish it was ground floor as I was on crutches but that meant it was quiet without anyone above us.

Place was pretty clean and accurate to the description online. We did find some bugs in the provided blankets.

Nice property; close to Acadia National Park
Good, clean property for 2. Could do up to 4 as there are two beds. Close to Bar Harbor and Acadia Nat'l Park. We ran into a major traffic jam going back to the property from Bar Harbor. It was people heading home at the end of a holiday weekend. Not the property's fault, just wanted to inform.

First Trip to Acadia
The property was as described and in close proximity to both Acadia and Bar Harbor. I didn't know anything about the area and chose this property based on reviews. I was not disappointed.

Family trip
Overall the property is very nice. We took a vantage of the kitchen and the outdoor grill and made several meals. My children enjoyed the lawn games and the fire pit.

This unit could use some love
I can’t speak to the cottages. We stayed one of the 4 units above a garage building. It’s old and we knew that. But it could use some love. There seems to be a shortage of electricity. The lights were constantly going dim and our A/C until slowed every time an A/C unit (I presume) kicked off and on in the building. Beds were fine. Towels were a bit thin, but I grabbed some better ones from the laundry area in the lodge (basically a large house). You do have open access to the lodge which has kitchen, laundry, sitting areas, etc. I met one staff member and she was super nice. Biggest complaint was we got some outdated email saying “come into the lodge and find your key”. Well we got in at 9:45 and no key, no one around, and phone number in the email was disconnected. So we're freaking out at this point. Turns out we were supposed to be given a door code through VRBO which never came. Luckily the door was unlocked when we checked it. Bottom line, it was a value price and a value experience.

Gracious hosts
The room was nice. Having the use of the main house kitchen was certainly wonderful. About 15 min to Bar Harbor. Thanks for a great stay in Maine!

Quaint
It's an old building and has some quirks but we were comfortable and felt very safe.
