Bella Soleil overlooks the sparkling clear waters of Long Lake. This home has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and sleeps up to 8 guests.

A large enclosed porch is set up for dining or relaxing, taking in the stunning view from the wrap-around windows. The covered patio off of the basement has an outdoor table and chairs.

This home sits above the lake with 29 steps down to the water, and there is a sandy lake bottom, perfect for swimming and boating. Outdoor features include a dock, a fire pit, and a charcoal grill. This lovely quiet location makes for a great getaway.

The South Long Lake Forest Natural Area is just across the street for scenic hikes. It is less than 10 miles from downtown Traverse City and just over 30 miles from the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore.

Weekend soccer tournament
We stayed in Traverse City for a soccer tournament. This house was great for what we needed. Plenty of rooms/beds, comfortable, great view! Kitchen was stocked with everything you need to cook just be aware there is nothing extra such as salt/pepper, only one paper towel roll, one roll of toilet paper, one garbage bag. So you will need to bring extras for your stay. But that wasn’t a big deal for us. Overall we would stay here again

Lamps broken, bathroom towel bars and hooks broken, dish washer falling apart, cigarette butts all over outside. The location made up for it and we cleaned up the first day and fixed the dishwasher and moved on. Still worth the money.

Reviewer Comments: While visiting my son who goes to school in Traverse City with 3 friend so mine & 2 friends of my daughters we stayed at Bella Soleil. It was truly perfect! Everyone had their own space and it was close enough to everything we wanted to do which was tour the awesome wineries on both sides of Traverse City Bay. The view was breathtaking, and the fire pit was perfect way to end the day! I would recommend this place to anyone. Couldn't have asked for a better trip!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Upon arrival, we felt very relaxed and at home. Everything was provided for cooking, cleaning and all linens were provided as well. The owner was very helpful and even showed up one day to help us find the oars for the rowboat. The location was perfect and the weather worked out so that we could go out on the dock every night. We were able to eat outside using the provided grill and had a campfire almost every night. It was truly a bargain deal for the price and we would highly recommend this location to anyone. We will be looking to return in the future.

Nice stay, but…
No internet. Book says “no internet” is not an emergency and to call to leave a voicemail. I called and left a voicemail. Never heard from anyone and the internet was never fixed. Steps down to the lake were very steep and hadn’t been swept in weeks making them very dangerous. There was a broken window in the sunroom/dining area. Overall we still had a great time. Pretty obvious that not much detail is paid to cleaning. It wasn’t bad, just wasn’t good. Not a fan of zero contact when I notify there’s a problem though. Not hard to check and follow up on requested voicemail.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Although the property was right in the water with a beautiful view, accessing it is pretty difficult. There are many stairs and tree roots and other issues leading to them which could easily result in a terrible fall. The house itself was large but could definitely use updating for the $2,000 we paid for three nights. The beds are very uncomfortable as were the pillows. I’m very disappointed and wish I had spent my $2,000 on another property.

It is in need of a very thorough cleaning. The cost of the rental would lead you to believe you should be getting quality beds/bedding- dishes- furnishings. This is not so. All of the 4-four- coffee mugs were chipped- beds were dirty as well as lumpy. The furniture was garage sale leftovers. Looking for a Nice quality- keep looking!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My brother and his wife from Colorado joined my husband and I for a vacation to experience the Traverse City area. We wanted to enjoy the scenery (especially the lakes), hike, rock hunt, explore all the small towns, and visit wineries and breweries. This cottage was a great location for that. The lake front location, dock with stairs into the water, and chairs was great for just enjoying Long Lake and sunsets. We enjoyed sitting on the "porch" eating dinner and playing games at the table at night and talking on the comfy couches in the mornings. Honestly, we lived in this room! The downstairs also has an amazing outdoor space, covered from the rain with equally comfy furniture. The kitchen was stocked with all the dishes, pots and pans, and utensils we needed, although a few more "normal" size coffee mugs would have been nice. We used the charcoal grill one night and that was great to have!We bought firewood, but unfortunately didn't get to use the great fire pit since the weather didn't cooperate.Bathrooms were clean and nice and we had plenty of towels and toilet paper to get us through the week. It was also nice to have a washer and dryer.My only complaint was the very uncomfortable beds. Both queens were saggy and I felt like I was going to roll to the middle. It would have been nice to get a good night's sleep on vacation.All in all though, it was a great week and I would rent the cottage again.

Long Lake Get Away
Great property on Long Lake. Excellent space on waters edge for lounging and going for a swim. Very nice dock for evening sunset views. Cottage was very accommodating for the entire family and grandkids.

Long Lake Cottage
We had a great visit to Long Lake. The cottage had great lake frontage with a dock and we loved the sunroom off the back of the house. The space worked well for 3 adults and 5 kids. The house is definitely dated and does have a bit of a musty smell especially downstairs, but it worked well for us and gave us the good location and beautiful sunsets.
