About this property

Entire place

You'll have the entire cabin to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party.

Cozy & Convenient Stone Mountain hideawy ... closest to the State Park!

Welcome to the North Carolina Blue Ridge Mountains! You have just found the closest and most unique Vacation Rental to Stone Mountain State Park, North Carolina's largest state park.

Our rustic cabin is located less than 1 mile from the entrance to Stone Mountain State Park where you will find magnificent waterfalls, historic landmarks, hiking trails, mountain climbing and much, much more! If you enjoy being close to nature you will love our cabin!

Imagine this...you're sitting on the front porch of a beautiful log cabin, enjoying the cool, fresh mountain air. Now...look out below and you will see a 70 mile panoramic view featuring every shade of the color green spread out over a wide forested valley and time-softened mountains. White clouds hang like dollops of meringue in the Carolina blue sky.

To the east you will see Pilot Mountain ('Mt. Pilot' as it was referred to on the famous Andy Griffith TV show). And on a clear day, you can see the tall buildings in downtown Winston Salem, NC, over 50 miles away!

And at night ... WOW!...the twinkling night lights in the valley are breathtaking and soooo romantic!

Natural beauty of the magnitude is so inspiring and a true feast for the senses...it nourishes the soul.

It will be equally magnificent when Autumn leaves paint it red, copper, bronze and gold; when winter snow blankets it with a sparkling layer of sugar white, and when spring shoots, buds and flowers inundate it in a sea of lacy pastel foam.

Quiet and quaint
A nice little cabin that's spitting distance from Stone Mountain. The view from the back porch is amazing. I'd say it's the coziest I've felt being away from home. I would've loved to stay longer.

Best weekend getaway.
Such a beautiful and peaceful setting for a great weekend. We had a wonderful stay. We enjoyed the lovely decks for sitting out and enjoying the wildlife and scenery. One deck is covered and the other not, so we could enjoy even if it rained! Love the mountain views! The cabin is well appointed and has great character.

Wonderful Little Hide Away
We had wanted a nice private cabin in the Yadkin Valley area and this place is great! We had stayed at one of the other cabins here previously and enjoyed this stay at cabin #2 very much. The host is very responsive to any request you make. Cabin was very clean and decently stocked with simple necessities. We would definitely recommend this place to our friends.

Beautiful Property
We had a wedding at a nearby venue and didn’t realize when we had rented these 3 cabins, to mainly just use for sleeping, that we had picked such gems. All 3 cabins were perfect inside and outside all 3 is a truly spectacular view. Got a lot of pictures including beautiful sunrises over the mountains. If it weren’t for the wedding we easily could have just spent each hour of each day just relaxing in paradise. Owners are very nice, communication was excellent. Highly recommend!

Great Weekend
Cabin is nice but you won't be inside much. Quaint outdoors has several places to relax with a large charcoal grill and fire pit. Storm rolled thru Sat night. Sitting on cushioned bench watching it rain with beer and cigar in hand was perfect. Can't wait to try cabin 3 next time.

Cozy, Clean & Peaceful
Cabin 2 was starting renovation, so they graciously moved us to the new cabin. This cabin is gorgeous, with everything you need for a peaceful, relaxing stay! As they transparently warned, the stink bugs were abundant, but they didn't really bother us, and they are slow and easy to capture. We would definitely come and stay again! Thanks Ed & Martha!

A beautiful little cabin with a fantastic view
The cabin was clean and comfortable, and well equipped. Temperatures got down into the single digits outside but we were warm and cozy inside, enjoying the jacuzzi and gas log fireplace. It also has baseboard heat. Ed and Martha were very accommodating and personable. We plan to go back in the spring when we can enjoy the outside as well.

Small but cozy cabin
Everything with the check in process was easy. Ed was a easy to get ahold of and was helpful with any questions we had about the property. The view from the porch was great. The amenities were just enough for what we needed. As we did not spend a lot of time at the cabin, because we had immediate access to multiple wineries, Stone Mountain state park, and the town of elkin which had plenty of food and shopping for anyone. The only issue we had was the stink bugs within the property. Which is the only reason I am giving a 4 star for overall. It's not the fault of anyone, but the timing of when the bugs are the most active to seek out warmer areas since the outdoor weather was getting cooler. Short of the bug issue, my wife and I had a great time and stay at the cabin, and enjoyed the all the area had to offer.

Anniversary Trip in October, too many stink bugs
The rental experience was great. The cabin was a described, no complaints. The first night we killed about 100+ stink bugs. We wouldn't have bothered with them if it weren't for them diving and landing on us. So we spent a great deal of time just making it tolerable. We noticed after we did that the next two night weren't nearly as bad. Which made us think, maybe this cabin hadn't been in for some time. That was a bit of a bummer. But the location and view of the mountains was great. We would return, just not September thru November.
