This lake house was built in 2007 so that I could be right on the water and fish any time I wanted to. The home is constructed with only stained or painted wood. It includes 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, an open kitchen, dining and living room with a gas log fireplace. The interior was professionally designed and decorated.
A screened in porch sets the stage for perfect outdoor dining and a deck both of which overlook the lake.
The unusual and original covered boat house has a boat lift and alarm system. The fish that congregate there in the water are my pets and love to be fed. Guests will see bass, crappie, carp, catfish and turtles.
Fishing charters are available upon request through Bucktail Guide Service. Please let me know if you are interested in setting up a fishing guide trip.
This lake house is in a quiet established neighborhood with many full time residents and a family owned diner at the top of the hill that serves the best breakfast around.
My home is in a cove and it not exposed to constant boat traffic. Swimming and floating off the dock are safe and relaxing.

We absolutely enjoyed every part of our stay! From the beautiful views, ample parking and comfy bed! We had a family gathering for my graduation and we were able to enjoy each other and accommodate all of us! We also had so much fun floating and swimming in the lake! I would highly recommend this place for a great getaway!!!
We loved this place. It was rustic but well appointed, the beds were comfortable, there was plenty of room for a group of 5 adults, and Preston was a very responsive and accommodating host. We were happy we opted to rent the pontoon boat and had a great stay. Would highly recommend it.
What a nice home on SUCH a great part of the lake! House was clean and had everything we needed. Owner was very helpful and super nice. Renting the boat went very well, fun and peaceful boat rides. What a nice few days of family time.
My wife and I stayed with our two adult sons and their wives for a relaxing getaway. The house was clean, comfortable, and exactly as pictured in the listing. Having the pontoon available to rent, and ready to go when we arrived was so convenient and gave us extra time to enjoy the lake. Preston was great! Communication was excellent and he went out of his way to accommodate us! We will definitely rent here again.
This visit was to rest and fellowship with my family. We spent four days (3 nights) at the lake house. Although it was super cold, I believe everyone enjoyed themselves. Preston has awesome neighbors!
The house worked perfectly for our family - mom, dad, and 4 kids. Plenty of space for us to relax, and great to have a fully stocked kitchen to prepare meals and a screened in porch to avoid bugs while eating. We also rented Preston's pontoon boat for the week - absolutely worth it - we used it every day for tubing and fishing. Preston was extremely responsive to any questions we had leading up to the trip and very nice.
Our son was graduating from Clemson. Seven of us stayed at the house, and we hosted another dozen for a cookout after the graduation. The setting was beautiful and peaceful, and the house, screened porch, and deck accommodated us all easily. The kitchen was well equipped and the gas grill worked fine. We were all happy with the accommodations.

An Anderson Area Treasure
This home is awesome. I have rented from VRBO multiple many times and this is the first time that the description and pictures are exactly what the house has. The house is so comfortable. We loved the screened in porch and spent many hours out there. Lucy is easy to work with. The kitchen is well equipped - thanks for adding a blender. Beds are comfy, there is plenty of towels for everyone.

Wonderful Family Weekend
My family, along with my sister's family, our parents and our grandmother stayed in this home for three nights. The house is so nice and clean and had everything we needed. The screened porch is a must for summer days and nights. We spent a lot of time out there playing cards and watching the older kids play in the yard (bug free!). The backyard is very nice, only gently sloped down to the lake which makes it very easy to get up and down...and it's shaded much of the day! The beds are very comfortable, the kitchen is fully stocked and the décor makes the house very inviting. We loved it, and plan to return!
VRBO needs to be updated with new Password for TV. Couldn't connect with info we had. Wound up having to call owner.

Family from Virginia
The perfect place to celebrate and make memories for our son's Clemson graduation. Only a short drive to Clemson. The setting is on a quiet cove and the lake house was absolutely beautiful! The interior of this home is warm and beautifully decorated with a true lake charm. There are views of the lake from bedrooms, family room and deck with screened in porch. We enjoyed feeding the fish at the dock area, small ones and large ones. We rented a pontoon boat for the weekend and had a magical time on Lake Hartwell with swimming, fishing (lots of fish!), and just relaxing on the calm green water. Thank you for sharing your lovely home, it was everything we were hoping for!
This property and the owner were wonderful. The pictures don't do the house justice. It is really nice, very well equipped, comfortable and in a wonderful location on the lake. We really appreciated the fact that the kitchen had everything under the sun! It was clean and perfectly appointed when we arrived. Preston was helpful and accomodating, but gave us full privacy. Just two notes for potential visitors -- while the boat house and dock are nice, they are a little tricky for young children. This yard is easier and better arranged than most, but you need to hold your child's hand carefully in navigating the boat house. Also for dog owners: the neighbor's dogs wander onto the property, so if your dog has issues with other dogs, you need to be aware. Overall, we were thrilled with this house and would love to visit again. It worked very well for us with 7 adults and a toddler. Beautiful place!

Perfection
This place was perfect for our family get together of 4 couples and 2 dogs . We all traveled about 9 hours to meeting the middle at this house. The pictures are very accurate. 3 queen beds and one king was perfect for us we didn't want anyone to have bunk beds. It is beautifully decorated and is stocked with everything you need to cook. Plenty of space for everyone to relax. We ate all our meals on the screened in porch then sat out on the beautiful deck overlooking the lake to take in the stars. The landscaping is beautiful, surrounded by trees and shrubs so you have plenty of privacy and we even played some frisbee on the front lawn. We rented the Pontoon boat with the house for 3 days and went fishing and tubing. They had kayaks there that you could use and they were a lot of fun to try. Lucy and Preston were very responsive of any questions I had and I would highly recommend this house

We felt like family
We cannot thank you enough for opening you home to us. This was not the average rental house, Every little thing was perfect, kitchen well stocked, bathrooms full of linens, bedrooms with every feature in place. The decor in the home was very unique with a different type of natural wood in each room, comfy furniture, great view, and just a awesome warm cabin feel. Landscaping is very nice and well kept. We had great weather for febuary and ate most meals on the screen porch. The 'pets' at the dock are a lot of fun also, through in some bread and bass, catfish, carp, and others appear as if you rang a dinner bell. 'Woldrops' is the restaurant a very short walk away, is a great place for breakfast and lunch with the feel of a old fashion fish camp. We were also luck enough to book a trip or two with Bucktail Guide Service during our stay and had a blast on lake hartwell catching stripers and hybrid bass. We have rented many vacation homes and this would be one of the best, and I'm sure we will be back.
We had a wonderful time. The location on the lake was great and having access to a boat at the house was a real bonus. The walkway through the boathouse might be tricky for kids.
Stayed here for a Clemson admission tour and football game. The place is a cute log cabin with a great house layout. We enjoyed the kayaks and floating off the dock. The price point matched the home features and we had a great time. Thanks for the great TV options too.
