"I chose this hotel because it was old and historic. In it's 175 years it has been updated, yet they showed respect for its history. Some ancient beams are still exposed. The place is decorated with some furniture and artifacts from its past. I love that. I was grateful for the elevator, a TV, a hair dryer and a relatively spacious and modern room. They serve a wonderful breakfast! Everything you could want. Fresh ground coffee, fresh squeezed OJ. Nice fruit, breads, yogurt, meat and eggs. The location is very close to the train station, and every day I was able to walk to the Capitole and environs to explore this amazing historic and beautiful city on foot. But there are a couple Metro stations nearby if you need them, which I did on occasion. In fact there is a bus stop in front of the train station where you can pick up a bus to the airport. The hotel will provide a very helpful map! The Grand Hotel d'Orleans is a great place to stay! "

"I loved this hotel! The location mere steps from Place du Capitole is very convenient to everything there is to see and do in Toulouse and beyond. And the Capitole Metro stop is only a 3 minute walk, so it's easy to get to the train, tram and bus stations at Toulouse Matabiau. My room was quiet and well-appointed, though perhaps a bit small for 2 people. I didn’t eat breakfast there so can't comment on that. Finally, the staff were all very helpful and friendly. And Alex went above and beyond to help me with some train and tram schedules for a couple of day trips I was interested in. Highly recommended this property, and would definitely stay here again if I come back to Toulouse."
