"Hotel was good, but a little tired, our only criticism was that our room never had a visit from house keeping on a daily basis, apparently you have to request it, unfortunately no one told us this. We would like to mention the receptionist, TRACEY who sorted a couple of problems we had efficiently and promptly, very pleasant throughout our stay "

"Lovely staff, great breakfast. Wonderful location, all of historic Totnes within walking distance. This historic building could do with a lick of paint and room upgrades. Our mattress was old and out-of-shape. "

"Pretty location. Pleasant stay in a nice room in the annexe. Good breakfast and decent food in the evening. The only issue really is access. It's in the middle of nowhere with steep narrow single track roads that are pretty treacherous and stressful in the dark and bad weasther."

"We stay here 2-3x per year as not only is The Bull one of the finest pub restaurants in England but the rooms are comfy with several dog-friendly. We find the price point to be excellent value."

"We were greeted with a very warm welcome and had time with the host (Donna) over a cream tea where she took time to find out about us and gave us a number of recommendations of things to do and where to eat. The bedroom & en suite was very clean, tidy & spacious with views over the large garden. "The Tall House is a fantastic place to stay. I cannot fault it at all. Dan and Judy are lovely and make you feel like part of the family. The conversations are great and they are very attentive. The breakfast is amazing, pick what you want the night before and it’s bought to your room at the time you want! Bed was very comfy and the shower had really good pressure. Nice little village where all you can hear is nature. Would definitely stay again. "
