Generally pleased but issues!
The property standard was very nice and pool was fabulous possibly slightly further to walk to town than described and very steep hill, the property was very well maintained and had every amenity you could need.
We had an issue with the door locking us out which then took me the best part of 2-3 hrs to contact owner as he did not answer to ourselves or home and away which was not the best as in the middle of the day we were then told that the keys we had were the only ones in resort and the only others were with the owner in Munich 4 hrs away in the end 5 hrs after locking ourselves out a locksmith arrived and had to drill the door to gain access, to be fair during this process Jurgen the owner was great although would have liked to get hold of him sooner as we had no money no car keys and no other clothes other than swimwear!
What I am most upset about was the fact that Jurgen sent us an email after we left the apartment telling us that the locksmith had charged 600 euros which I find unbelievable as he was there for 1hr 1st visit and 10 mins 2nd and that we were to lose our 250euro damage deposit which I have no issue with but we were not met at the property on arrival, were given no warning of the issue with the door which was an obvious problem as other owners onsite had suffered the same/similar issue!
After we left the property we stayed elsewhere in Venice and had same type of door mechanism and we were warned 2-3 times on arrival to be very very careful as it was quite easy to lock yourself out but if it occurred not to worry as they had a spare key at the office (what a good idea)
We were not met on arrival at Jurgens property as the housekeeper was in hospital so taking that into consideration I am not to unhappy with this situation but what I am very unhappy with is the fact that I overpaid on the property by 1night and was promised by Jurgen on email which I have a copy of that he would reimburse me but this has not happened which I feel is totally unacceptable as this was not part of a damage waiver agreement and in my eyes is nothing short of theft I have emailed Jurgen and texted him but to no avail and with no response I therefore would like Home and away to look into this matter and get it resolved please feel free to contact me with any updates you can provide on 07760782785 we are in the process of booking for next year and looking for a property at the moment
