The village of Tortorella is located 600 meters away. on the top of a hill which on one side overlooks the sea and where on the clearest days it is also possible to see Stromboli, on the other it dominates the deep gorge of the Bussentino stream.
Ancient center with noble origins, renowned for its healthy air, flourishing vegetation, numerous spring waters, various trekking paths, the warm welcome of the inhabitants, it stands within the medieval walls, it was a possession of the Counts of Sanseverino, university city, home to a refined society.
Tortorella is within the Cilento and Vallo di Diano National Park. 15km away. from Tortorella and 900 m. above sea level, the MUN, Museum of Man and Nature, was built using an abandoned quarry from which an amphitheater with excellent acoustics and venue for musical and theatrical shows was also created in the months of July and August.
