Beautiful 7 Bed Barcelona Castle Villa, Tennis Court, Pool, & BQ House

Close to Barcelona City, in the mountains, in the heart of the Cava wine area of the Penedes, lies a beautiful detached private villa with incredible views, set in an amazing garden. Over a 3/4 of an acre of private garden for you to enjoy. At your disposal you have your own private tennis court, large Roman swimming pool, car park and garage, patio and large flat lawn for recreation for the family i.e. football or play.

A stay here will offer an organic retreat. Complete escapism from the modern world. Collect eggs from the resident chickens. Rest in a beautiful large garden with vineyard, children's play area, array of Spanish plants, vegetables, lemon, orange, grape, olive, cherry, almond. A cool barbecue house with bar/kitchen/dinning and lounge for entertaining, A huge pergola/terrace perfect for dinning as a large group. Smart TV, FREE fast WiFi, CDs, table tennis, badminton, darts, football. A cafe bar/diner only 2mins from the house and a nearby a local public Olympic pool. Outside catering can be hired for private garden parties i.e Paella etc.

The great thing about renting this whole house is that it has a lovely ground floor 3 bed self contained apartment. Some of your family or friends can enjoy complete privacy downstairs from the rest of the party living in the main house above. The whole house can sleep up to 19 people (7 bedrooms = 2 double bed, 9 single beds plus 1 sofa bed, 2 bunk beds, (extra bed in master bedroom) = 19pax ) This luxury estate is more like a small boutique hotel that you have the private use of to entertain your friends and family. The living areas are exceptionally well equipped as is the outdoor eating area. The BBQ House has music, kettle toaster fridge etc.

The house will have had a maid cleaning service before your arrival. If you would like to have a further daily cleaning service this can be arranged floors swept, disposing of refuge, washing up in Kitchen etc. Booking extra cleaning hours in advance 20 euros an hour

Great holiday! House needs some work
We had a huge family holiday here with 18 of us and had a lovely time. The grounds and tennis court were brilliant and we loved the small local bar next door - we went there everyday for coffees or sangrias! Toby was on hand whenever we needed anything. The paella evening was great. And we made good use of the BBQ. The house itself feels dated and we had issues with ovens not working which was stressful when having 8 children to feed. Kitchens were missing vital things like chopping boards, sharp knives etc. Coffee machines didn't work. Some of the mosquito nets/blinds were broken. The pool filters definitely don't work well enough. Poolside furniture needs updating. Sliding door in upstairs lounge didn't lock. It could all just do with some money spent to bring it all up to scratch. But overall we had a really lovely week there. The kids had the best time!

Had a perfect stay
The villa was beautifull and looked exactly like the pictures. The host was very nice and welcoming. He even offered to drive us to the city to get groceries. The house had everything you needed. We were really excited about the outside kitchen with the barbeque. And we also loved the nice pool and the tenniscourt. I would really recommend this villa if you want to have a nice and relaxed vacation with a big group of friends or family. Its easy to get a ride to the citys close by but if you rent a car there is also fun things to do in the area.

Beautiful holiday house - highly recommende
Fantastic time in this charming villa with my extended family . Loved the pool, tennis court, bbq , and beautiful views. The host was super friendly and helpful, offered to get us groceries on our arrival, provided extra fans and parasols at short notice as it was so hot, and gave us great tips on local amenities. Would definitely recommend.

Top Unterkunft!
Wir sind mit 19 Erwachsenen angereist. Unsere Erwartungen an die Unterkunft wurden übertroffen. Sehr groß und gepflegt. Es fehlte uns an nichts. Der Vermieter hat uns herzlich empfangen und war auch während des Aufenthalts sehr hilfsbereit. Absolut zu empfehlen.

If you love Wine and Food, this is your place!
Me and my friends love wine and found this villa on the internet. We have visited and stayed in many wine regions. Our last trip was to the Napa Valley but we did not know much about wine in the Barcelona Region. The weather was glorious and the Villa was great with an independent apartment on the ground floor separate to the main house above which worked really well with my group. Each day we visited some famous wineries like Torres and Cordoniu and tasted some amazing wines from Red White and Cava. The biggest delight was Mas Tinels a local winery that has a 1st class restaurant where they served their own wine included in the meal. The red is called Arte and it's delicious and the food outstanding. Another great place we ate only 5 mins from the villa was winery Xamos with a tiny restaurant again we drank there own Cava and superb a la Brasa entrecot steaks!! Hmm amazing. All in all I would recommend this place for foodies and wine lovers as you really are in the heart of Barcelona wine country!

Simply delightful
My large Family joined me for my 70th Birthday and booked this villa near Barcelona as it was big enough to accommodate us all. We were not disappointed as the gardens are big and my grandchildren had a ball hiding playing and running all over the place! The Pool, Tennis Court and Ping Pong Table were a popular edition to the holiday. All in all we were very happy and take with us some very happy memories at Casa Del Vino!

Thanks for a great week
We spent a great week in Casa Del Vino. The tennis court featured heavily in our stay and the court is a good enough surface to have some fun games. There is loads of outdoor space to relax in by the pool, garden, or barbecue area, and the villa itself has plenty of character. We made day trips to Barcelona, Vilanova, Taragona, and also went to one of the local vineyards near Villafranca - there's lots to do within reach of the villa. Overall we had a great week and would certainly recommend for a week's break.

no hesitation to recommended Casa del Vino
As a three family group of 16 people we thought it would be lovely to find a large family villa close to Barcelona where we could base ourselves go out and explore Barcelona. We found it on the internet. The place was a tranquil paradise where the grounds were so big all the kids spent there time running around and playing in a safe confined space where the adults could relax in the many private terraces and patio areas. The kids especially loved the goats and chickens down in the mini farm. I would have no hesitation to recommended Casa del Vino to any large family groups.

WONDERFUL stay with friends
We reserved Casa del Vino for 20 friends to celebrate two 30th birthdays. It was an absolutely stunning house. We thought the photos were gorgeous, but we were even more impressed when we arrived. There is a lot of space - the garden, the BBQ house, the pool, the gazebo, & so much more. We hosted a lunch/dinner that was perfectly done in the patio & BBQ house. Everything we needed was available. The rooms were also very beautiful and very comfortable. And the entire house was very clean. We all had a very nice sleep, followed by a very nice swim in the pool. The pool was a bit cold, but it is September. We also enjoyed the goats & chickens, and we were even able to eat some fresh eggs & tomatoes! We highly recommend Casa del Vino!

Casa del Vino. A Wunderfull place!!
We spent one week in this beautyfull villa. There is a lot of space in and around the house so verybody can have fun. The water of the swimmingpool was cold, but nevertheless we swam sometimes. The little children played in the garden and we did not have to look around for them because it is verry save. We eated almost every evening in the barbequehouse and sit near the fire. We had a fantastic time
My sister and her family joined us for a family reunion, so we were searching the internet for a large villa and garden somewhere accessible in Europe. We found Casa del Vino on this website. Situated just outside Barcelona it was easy for us all to meet there. The comments and pictures on the website swung it for us and we booked it. I was a little nervous before we arrived as i was responsible for everyones holiday. However i needn't be as when we arrived we were greeted by house managers Tobi and Mieira who are such lovely people. They told us that if we needed anything during our stay then to only ask. One small issue was there was no large frying pan, but when we complained, Mieira went to the shop straight away and bought us one. We were very impressed with that. The house was fine with a separate flat downstairs and a house upstairs, which worked out really well with the group. A large lawn were we played games. A tennis court where we had hours of fun. The pool, the chickens and best of all the Summer house were we spent many night as a group making a fire, drinking and singing songs....The weather was hot and sunny all week. What more can i say....thank you to Tobi and Mieira

Perfect Property
The property looks better up close than in the photos - that may be a first. Our group of 18 adults rented the whole property for a long weekend - there was more than enough space for all of us - a massive outdoor bbq area - two lounges - two open plan kitchens and plenty of patio space and balconies. The house is finished to a very high standard - Helena the housekeeper is nearby for any enquiries, and Jackie and Toby in the U.K. are extremely helpful. A perfect location in Penedes for biking and/or visting wineries (thanks Paddy at el Moli) or just to relax (the views are incredible) - 15 min by car to Vilafranca - then only 1 hour on the train to Placa Catalunya Barcelona - and less to the coast (Sitges/Vilanova). Fabulous property
Any holiday involving nine children aged between six and twelve years can be a challenge. Such was the quality of the villa we hardly saw the children and found it increasingly difficult to leave the property despite the wonderful surroundings and nearby attractions. The days were happily spent swimming, playing tennis, ping pong, darts and cricket. The owners have great attention to detail the highlight of which is the superb bar area. We felt like we had visited real Spain and we found the locals warm, friendly and helpful. On the days we could drag ourselves away great days were had at the nearby beaches of Sitges and Vilanova. Barcelona was only a short commute away. None of the party will forget the picnic at the nearby monestary with the faboulous views. I cannot recommend this property highly enough.

We statyed at the villa for 1 week and found it an excellent maintenance condition and very well equipped. We came 5 families in total 7 children, 10 adults and two babies. It was very comfortable for all of us. We recommend the villa for large families or a get together of a few families.

Our stay at the Casa Del Vino - was great!
The onwers of the villa here in the UK were very helpful before we even went, our stay at the villa was very enjoyable. The villa catered for all our needs and the housekeeper Helena was extremely pleasant and very helpful. The villa itself is extremely well equipped and spotless, the gardens at the villa are lovely, with the pool and BBQ area of a very high standard too! We were on a hen weekend so the fact the villa is tucked away a bit was perfect for us, we had a lot of fun and would definately go again....some of the girls who went are already pressuring me to organise the next trip!!

Barcelona villa
We have just returned yesterday from a fantastic holiday. I feel I have to write straight away to say thanks so much everything was perfect. Helena is a delight, such a lovely lady. We loved it so much we hardly left the house. In the evenings all 14 of us sat and ate in the bbq house, we lit an open fire there in the evenings and enjoyed the local wines and Spanish brandy, very pleasant. the children also had a fantastic time with lots to keep them entertained. We shall look forward to booking again, thanks again for everything.

My Barcelona Holiday
This beautiful mountain getaway exceeded all expectations, the amazing villa we found to be exceptionally clean and well equipped making it very much a home from home, each bedroom was clean & tidy and the many terrances and beautifully kept gardens meant that we were not constantly on top of each other and were able to grab five minutes alone time and relaxation, when necessary. There is certainly is no chance of getting bored here and the pool & tennis courts went down very well with all the children & adults alike. The chickens were a firm favorite with the kids and a rota had to be set up to stop arguments as to who was going to get the eggs in the morning. It was nice to know that there were staff on sight to sort out any queries but we found the information packs very informative and so no real help was needed. We had two excursions during our stay, a great shopping trip into Villa Franca which has both quaint and modern shops and great bars and restaurants and a wine bike tour with a fantastic irishman called Paddy which included a trip to the local Cava winery and lunch in an authentic spanish restaurant. This was a thoroughly enjoyable experiance and one that we would strongly recommend, it was easy to book as the guide spoke perfect English and the scenery he showed us was breathtaking. Our holiday here was fantastic and we will definately be returning next year.

Girls Holiday to Barcelona
We spent 5 days at Casa del Vino and had a wonderful time. Villa well equipped and great atmostphere in the separate BBQ house at night - enjoyed the swimming pool and tennis court very much. Collecting eggs from the chickens in the morning, cooking them and then all eating outside was a wonderful experience. Great mix of peace and quiet but also enjoyed going out for Menu de la dia in local towns - lunch menus much cheaper than dinner!! Housekeepers were very friendly and nice to know we had them there if we needed them - nice to have our beds made everyday if we wanted to. Went on a bike wine tasting tour of the area with local tour guide which was a fantatic morning and had a wonderful lunch. The guide Paddy knew the area and wines so well it was a pleasure to spend the day with him. He was funny and very patient while we slowly cycled along!!! Great holiday that I would recommend to anyone - good idea to speak to the owner for recommendations of what to do and where to go etc., so you make the most of the local areas and local restaurants. We had tapas delivered to the villa one night which was a great idea. An experience I very much hope that we can all repeat again!!

Great family holiday
Celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary with our four kids, their other halves and four grandchildren - all easily soaked up into the upstairs villa and downstairs apartment. Tennis court, swimming pool and ground fantastic for kids and the general area quiet (except for a few local dogs having the occasional barking competition!). Took train to Barcelona (group ticket return only 56 Euros) and drove to Port Aventura - double theme park with half water based and half rides. All in all a great time in a well presented villa.
