"If you want a quiet, beautiful, and restful hotel, this is it. The breakfast is amazing. One day we stayed at the property and just walked through the vinyards, picked oranges and lemons, read on the veranda and took a tour of the winery. Everyone who works here is lovely and welcoming. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. It is a little bit of a drive into town, but it is worth it!"

Our bags were taken to our room and we had a welcome drink on the terrace overlooking the spectacular Douro Valley. We joined other guests for a family style meal and enjoyed getting to know people from many different countries. Our comfortable room had a large terrace overlooking the Douro River, there is a nice swimming pool on the property and the views are beautiful! The included breakfast was delicious and substantial, and the dinner we had there was quite good. This is a family-owned place and the owner’s son Paolo, who is the manager, was very welcoming and kind. We would return! "

"The staff at this property were outstanding. It was raining when we were there, but in good weather, the outside patios would have been lovely. It's a bit of a walk into town, but we were a group of four seniors and we managed fine. We took a cab back up to the property. After a long day of travelling, we loved the quietness that this property provided."

"This was my 3rd time staying at QdLR, yet I think this is my first review of the property(?). This is a solid gem in Pinhão. Although about 0.5 km from the town, the location means it is quiet. Wonderful, spacious room, excellent restaurant, and scrumptious breakfast, not to mention great wines and ports from the on-site winery. I had the trip from hell to get here and arrived late. They made certain I had dinner available and had a bottle of wine waiting in my room. They took great care of this weary traveler, which just enamored me even more with the place. Although my stay was barely over 14 hours, I will be back!"
