Absolutely superb stay! Room was perfect for us as a couple, our little toddler and our dog. The room and ensuite was clean, the breakfasts were delicious and nothing was too much for the hosts. Lisa in particular was an absolute delight to be around. We all had a wonderful time and will be back again soon 😊

Going on holiday but feeling at home. Greeted with such a warm welcome from lisa lots of smiles. The room was so beautiul, massive bed and super comfortable. The room was very clean and well presented. Bathroom had big shower and again very well presented with complimentary body wash and shampoo. Breakfast was very nice, service quick and friendly. Maybe an option of veggie breakfast would be only minor thing to add but was very well looked after with options.

The owners were very friendly and the property was well maintained. We couldn't fault the food that was served for our breakfast which had all been sourced locally. The hotel is in a quiet location, just a five minute walk from the seafront and a gentle stroll down into Torquay. Would certainly recommend The Charterhouse.

Brilliant Hotel
What can i say. Lisa & Christoff were absolutely brilliant , they done absolutely everything to make our stay a fantastic experience from day 1 to day 5. The hotel is a very large house in a lovely part of Torquay, very private and peaceful. You placed your order for breakfast the previous day, very comprehensive menu. It is just a short walk from the seafront and the bus stops which is a great aid if you have problems walking. We can understand why some of the guests we met there, return year after year, you are made so welcome. 1St Class.

Lovely welcome and comfortable, spotless room. Small fridge in room with fresh milk for teas and coffees. Great shower (en suite) and clean and tidy toilet/sink (separate room). Lovely couple of nights here in one of the rooms with its own door directly to the garden, ideal for bringing my dog. Welcoming thoughtful hosts and really well cooked delicious breakfasts. Large Garden room
Our large garden room was spotless. Lisa was amazing and very attentive. Our little jack Russell loved the Sandy beach and playing with the other dogs on the beach. My husband has Parkinson’s and used a walking frame. He struggled with the hilly area and I suggest people hire a mobility scooter to support their additional needs.
