"Very clean. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast is some sweet bread. They set out options for pillows from you to choose from. It's a healthy walking distance from Kyoto station with light luggage and the the Nishiki Market area but far enough that it's quiet. Front desk staff was nice. "I like that I get to experience a nice Kyoto neighborhood. The service could be improved. I felt like the staffs were not friendly every time I said hi. They also turn off the AC in the middle of the might and even if it runs, it’s usually very light so I try to turn on the fan at the same time to avoid sweating. However, it’s hard to sleep due to the fan noises. "
