ABOUT OUR STAY - We booked 4 rooms for 2 nights as we were attending a wedding in Toluca. Our party comprised 6 adults and 4 children, and we had two cars to park.
PROS - Convenient location in City Center. Very close to the Cathedral, the "Arcos", and the Cosmo Vitral. All at walking distance. Room was clean and the bed was comfortable.
CONS - Despite the fact that we got "refurbished rooms", the windows did not close properly in 2 of 4 rooms, the mirror was broken in one of them. There was an electricity outage for 4hrs+ that left us without water or lights. No alternate mechanisms were available (not even candles!) and no emergency lighting was available in rooms or common areas, not even stairs.
The parking lot is difficult to access and poorly signaled.
Despite the fact that the rate included breakfast we were refused breakfast for children unless we paid and also we were told that Sunday breakfast was not free (BTW Sunday breakfast was not different of any other day breakfast, which is just eggs, coffee, juice and nothing more). If you look at the pics of the hotel, you will note that there is only one pic of a room. There is a reason for that.
Next door to the hotel there is a run-down bar (loud music until late) and the street is very noisy. This was aggravated because it was not possible to close the single-glazed windows properly. Also, Toluca is a chilly city and we got a nasty draft.
The staff at front desk was not very polite (almost rude).
