"A truly wonderful stay at Calm Sea guesthouse. The owners, Mel and Trish couldn’t be more accommodating, providing restaurant recommendations and discounts and nothing was too much trouble. They even opened the kitchen early on the Sunday so I could have a breakfast before an early set off (which was delicious). The room was spotless with lovely extra touches. Fantastic all round "

"Nice room, bathroom had both shower and bath but when we went to use bath there was no plug so could not use which was disappointing. Shower was not very powerful at all. Plenty of tea /coffee provided and bottles of water provided. Beds comfy, enjoyed good sleep. They don’t do food anymore, so have to go else where for dinner & breakfast. "

"We had an amazing time. John and Sandra are such welcoming hosts! The Lantana is spotless, in a fabulous location and they have paid such great attention to detail. Breakfast was superb! All in all, we couldn’t fault it! We’ll definitely be back in the summer to enjoy the beautiful sun terrace!"

"A very convenient location for Dorchester centre which was a 15 minute walk. The landlord was very friendly and helpful and made my 4 night stay very comfortable. There was a great choice at breakfast where the landlord was able to sort me out with porridge."

"we enjoyed our stay the room we had was nice the breakfast was cooked fresh and the staff were friendly. We were informed that our room was ready if we arrived early.The room we had was inviting with a good view of the beach from the window and plenty of storage for cloths so you did not live out of a suitcase . and only a short walk from the trajn station."

"Definitely a 5* review, we would definitely stay again. We had a family room so the children had their own bedroom. It was one of the cleanest places we’ve ever stayed in, immaculate! The breakfast options were fantastic and the staff were all so friendly. We immediately felt relaxed. Locationwise it was a short stroll to the beach or up the hill to the lovely Royal Oak pub. We also had a tasty lunch at the local Bank Cafe. Very short journey over to Lyme. Quiet in the evenings. Perfect...
