"The property is in an very nice location...right on a very picturesque river. My group felt it was more of a fish camp than a house. If you plan to stay outside on the deck or the river 90% of the time you will probably love it. If you have to spend a significant amount of time inside you will find it cramped, with worn-out furniture and uncomfortable beds. It is operated by a management company and not the owner. "Have holidayed in Hatepe for forty years so have rented many properties. Enjoyed the lake side position, the open fire and comfortable furnishings. There was only one extra blanket for the beds for my grandchildren who had come to NZ from 30 + degrees . Thanks owners for letting your property. "Loved the property, we had loads of space. View and surroundings ātaatua! Details to contact the property manager were out of date which caused a bit of panic when checking out as the instructions re what to do were unclear. The property could have been a bit cleaner dust wise. All in all loved the place and encourage the owners to keep it maintained and cleaned well."
