'Casa Vigneto' is a traditional, rustic stone house that is ideal for families or groups of friends. It can be rented as a stand-alone property or in conjunction with L'Antico Palazzo, a large stone house that sleeps up to 10, and/or 'La Stalla', a barn conversion that sleeps two people, both of which are situated just a couple of minutes' walk away. A shared outdoor swimming pool is located next to 'La Stalla', a 1-2 min walk from 'Casa Vigneto', across a small vineyard and up some steps.
'Casa Vigneto' has truly magnificent views of the Appennini mountains and the river Dolo, and is situated in Villa Bonicelli, a picturesque and peaceful hamlet in the beautiful Emilia-Romagnan countryside. It sleeps up to seven people (there are three bedrooms, plus a day bed with comfortable single mattress in the upstairs sitting room). The house is set back from the road, with a garden, shared with one other property, to the front. Guests have use of an outdoor table with chairs, sun loungers and a barbecue.
The property is furnished with many antique one-off pieces, making it a quirky and original holiday home in which to base yourselves while exploring this stunning and little-known area of Italy. On the ground floor is a large open-plan kitchen/diner with wood-burning stove, exposed stonework and an unusual vaulted ceiling. The dining table seats six, and there is also a comfortable seating area with TV and DVD library. Also on the ground floor is a double bedroom (again with vaulted ceiling) and shower room (loo, basin, shower cubicle).
Upstairs, taking full advantage of the beautiful views, there is a large sitting room that opens onto a spacious south-facing covered balcony overlooking a small orchard, a vineyard and the Appennini mountains – a wonderful setting for your al fresco meals! The sitting room itself has an attractive original terracotta floor and a small wood-burning stove and is stylishly furnished. Also on the first floor is a second shower room and two further bedrooms: a comfortable twin room and a double room with doors opening onto a second, east-facing balcony. All three bedrooms have windows with a view of the river Dolo and the mountains.
