"We had 2 grandparents, 3 parents and 4 college aged grandchildren. The house was beautiful and well equipped for cooking, game playing, TV. The garden and pool area is lovely and our hostess is wonderful! "

"We never expected such a fantastic stay! We were originally looking at hotels downtown until we stumbled upon Debra and Victor's place, the Bule Villas, a short distance from downtown. While there's much to be said about being able to walk out to the action of the city, we often preferred places that are a bit private and yet accessible. This place was everything that we asked for- and MUCH more! We were warmly greeted by the owners even as we arrived late into the evening. They were such gracious hosts and really attended to every single need we had - from adding on a breakfast option to getting around the city (BTW, if it wasn't clear in the description, they offer a special drop-off and back to the villas so you don't have to take a taxi), to showing us a local market with delicious food. Of course, we happened to be the the only guests that week, so got some extra attention :). The villa grounds are perfectly maintained with amazing old trees and windy paths - it is literally an oasis in a place that can be fairly hectic. The villa also comes with a kitchen and all the basic appliances. It's comfy and homey and everything you wanted for a stress-free stay. While all 5 villas would have provided a fantastic stay, we were particularly lucky to get one that had two private balconies :). If you are looking for a local experience that has ample privacy and serenity, don't pass this up!"

"From the beginning to the end, our stay was terrific. We arrived later in the day but were greeted with open arms by the host. They showed us around the property it was dark, but we could tell how magical it was already. we weren't wrong. We arrived during the Day of the Dead Festival, and our host offered to take us downtown and gave recommendations of places to see and eat. All wonderful. The following morning, we were able to really see the true beauty of the property. We had a lovely breakfast in the most wonderful curated garden. we relaxed in the pool, which was designed by the host. they have a passion for design, and you tell across all parts. our bungalow was perfect for us as we each had our own room and shower. everything was extremely clean. I'm a biggie on this, and we are very happy. so much more! thank you again for opening your doors to us! "

"The house is in the quiet outskirts of the city of Oaxaca in Santa Maria De Tule. It is clean, well furnished and beautiful. The host is very attentive and is always available should something arise. This house is perfect if you plan to visit Hierve El Agua, Mitla or if you want to have peace and quiet and enjoy some relaxing time. The house has plenty of space for all guests. The pool and outdoor space is fantastic. You could easily fire up the grill and have an outdoor lunch. There is a big grassy area for kids to run around and play. The house is about 15 minutes walk to downtown, and the host will provide you with a list of recommended restaurants and amenities. If you do not have a car, she recommends a taxi driver that is really helpful. The host and her staff take great care of the space, and can help tidying up inside if you so choose. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils for daily cooking. The only drawback is that the last eight of a mile to get to the house is not paved, so in rainy season it can get muddy in case you walk. It is well worth a visit. You will not regret it!"
