Come dig our east coast Florida vibe! See it all from the comfort of our recently renovated vintage Florida cottage.
Built in 1955, the kitchen, bathrooms and living areas were renovated in 2019/2020. Very high quality impact resistant windows were installed in 2020 adding beauty, comfort and an extra measure of security to our cute little cottage! We also installed a new A/C unit and replaced all the duct work in 2020 and we replaced the roof in 2021. Our approximately 900 square foot cottage is cute, clean and provides all the amenities you need while you enjoy your stay on Florida's east coast. A king size bed in the master bedroom sleeps two. Two single beds in the second bedroom sleeps two. We have two large and comfortable oversized couches in the living room that sleep two more people, for a total of six people. We have a lovely screened in porch with a ceiling fan for comfort. In the side garden as an added bonus outdoor area, we have seating with a gas grill and fountain. Our kitchen is complete with enough pots, pans, cutlery, glassware and dishes to comfortably cook a home made meal for 6 people. A travel size shampoo, conditioner and body wash are provided in both bathrooms. A washer and dryer are located in a laundry room in the rear of the cottage. Detergent, bleach, and dryer sheets are provided for your convenience. In addition to bathroom towels we also provide beach towels. Assorted beach toys are also available. We have driveway parking with a car port. The driveway can accommodate 3 vehicles parked one in front of the other. Street parking is not permitted.
We’re located within walking distance (quarter mile) of the banks of the Indian River Lagoon, North America's most diverse estuary. NASA’s Kennedy Space Center/Space X/Blue Origin sit directly across the water on Merritt island. If you’re in town during a launch there’s no better place to be! Kennedy Space Center offers great tours of its facilities and launch pads plus cool exhibits including an up close encounter with the space shuttle Atlantis and the Apollo rockets.
We are centrally located fifty minutes or less from everything central Florida has to offer, local beaches like all-natural Playalinda Beach at the Canaveral National Seashore (thirty minutes) or World-Famous Cocoa Beach (thirty five minutes). The "most famous beach in the world," Daytona beach, is a quick zip up I-95 north just (forty-five minutes) away. Kennedy space center is (twenty minutes) and If you’re interested in visiting Orlando, it’s only fifty minutes to Disney, Universal Studios, Sea World, I-Drive, Fun Spot, the Orlando Eye and Orlando International Airport (forty minutes) If you want to take a cruise, do a little gambling on a casino ship, or enjoy some local night life, Port Canaveral is only (thirty minutes) away. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can escape two hours north up I-95 and explore the nation’s oldest town, St. Augustine. You can also reach Florida’s west coast in the Tampa Bay/St. Petersburg/Clearwater Beach area in only two and a half hours.
Don’t forget about our areas beautiful natural springs! Complete with crystal clear water and world-class kayaking and canoeing! All of central Florida is within reach in a day.
There’s lots to do in Titusville as well. We are in walking distance to a brand new park with swinging chairs overlooking the banks of the Indian River lagoon. Enjoy SpaceEx/NASA/Blue Origin rocket launches from this park or from many local park or at the end of the driveway! Two restaurants offering delicious fare (El Leoncito and Dogs R us) are within walking distance (under quarter mile). If you are in to wildlife, we are five minutes from the Enchanted Forests nature trails and ten minutes from the Merritt Island Wildlife Refuge. We are five minutes from Titusville's Historic downtown shopping area with a live theater. Also close by is a beautiful park and marina with a new splash pad for kids.
While here, enjoy our dazzling sunshine and warm weather. Relax beside our wonderful waterways and pristine beaches from dawn to dusk. You can glimpse one of our famous alligators and manatees lounging lazily in our waters. As easily as you can Mickey, Donald and Goofy being silly at Disney world. Try some of the best fishing in the world off the Indian River lagoon. Or try your hand on a deep sea chartered boat. Maybe enjoy the water for the day on a kayak or simply go in ankle deep. You can hike some of our local trails and try spotting the many kinds of birds and reptiles we are famous for.
