Stunning views
Lovely very clean rental property with the most amazing views from the fabulous floor to ceiling windows. The balcony is perfect for catching the sun during the day. We loved our stay here and the only criticism is that it really needs a door on the en-suite as it is just open to the bedroom.

Still Work in Progress
Great location for this property overlooking the Isle of Bute. A modern design but in order to exploit all of the features this house needs to be completely finished both inside & out. We had a great holiday here but it could have been better if the full design features were completed.

Amazing views cottage was comfortable. However the steps in the back to the property are not good. Access should be made through the front steps to the side

Incredible View & Location
We spent a week at The Lookout and had a spectacular time topped by the most amazing weather. The view from the house is breathtaking and really lifts the spirits. The house was well located to local amenities, and Argyll has so much beauty and scenery to offer we didn't have enough time to do it all. Highly recommend staying here, we will definitely be back. Thank you

August 2023 Stay
Great location - fantastic views across the water to Bute - different every day. The Lookout has everything needed for a comfortable stay including a great coffee machine. House is well spec'd and very clean. Local shops in Tighnabruaich and Kames very short drive or walkable. Plenty to do in the area in addition to stunning walks - Portavadie for Spa and food, Waverley Paddle Steamer to Loch Fyne, lovely beach at Kilbride Bay, beautiful gardens at Benmore with panoramic view of the area. Only issue was having to park behind the property and carry luggage down steep steps. Also meant a drive down a single track lane to get back to the main road - once the driveway at the front is complete the property will be ideal.

Stunning new year break
Had a lovely week over new year in The Lookout. Views were amazing -every day regardless of weather. Loved the big open plan room. Everything was beautifully comfortable. Only problem was inability to contact housekeeper. Left message to phone back but they never did. There were a few things missing (like lots of wine glasses but no corkscrew!) The fridge was very small (no freezer) for 4 adults cooking meals over a holiday period. Thankfully weather was cold enough to store food outside. But nevertheless it’s been a fantastic week and we’ll be back.,

Unparalleled views, great location
Refurbished cottage offering almost everything! It would have been nice to have a bath, but both shower rooms are nicely done. Couldn't work out why there was no extraxtor fan in the kitchen or main shower room, so opened the windows whilst cooking/showering. Fine in the summer months but suspect a bit chilly in the winter! The views from the cottage are just amazing. Loved just gazing out of the windows or from the balcony (when it wasn't raining). Some nice touches, like the Alexa and Nespresso machine, but would have liked a change of towels. Just one set for all week was stretching it a tad. Overall, a suoerb stay in a unique cottage. We loved being in Tighnaebruiach. We can highly recommend Portavadie Marina for a fantastic evening meal - reasonably priced and great service. The Kames Hotel also does great food, but is a little more exoensive. Be warned, petrol stations are few and far between, so fill up at Dunoon if you travel by ferry. There is a tiny petrol station in Tighnabruaich but it is closed on Sundays, only open during normal 'office hours' during the week and is very expensive. The local shops all seem to close at 6pm, so make sure to buy your essentials beforehand. There was a bottle of prosecco waiting for us when we arrived, which was a lovely touch, but no milk or loaf of bread etc, which we have become accustomed to when arriving at a holiday cottage.

The view was amazing but we were disappointed with the condition of the property and quality of fittings and equipment. The rear entrance felt unsafe.

Beautiful accommodation let down by poor signage and unsafe entrance
The Lookout is a beautiful, immaculately clean house with fantastic views from most of the windows. The bed was very comfortable and we spent an enjoyable week staying there. The property was let down by having no distinguishing sign at all at the rear entrance from the approach lane so we drove up and down the narrow track searching for it. Having decided to search on foot we went down the 16 steps ( which had been mentioned on the website) and ended up peering through windows to try to see if it was the cottage we had booked based on the website’s photos. There was a rickety metal hand rail, the end of which was wrapped in black tape presumably as a safety measure. We then noticed a wooden sign on a fence with the name ‘Torsa’. Not helpful at all and it would surely not be difficult to replace the handrail and erect an actual sign showing the current name of the property. Sorry to have to mention these negative points because once inside the actual house we were impressed with everything else.

Views outstanding
The views are outstanding. I could have just sat and admired the landscape, but needs a couple of recliner or easy chairs to enable this. Plenty of kitchen items, crockery, cutlery, etc. Nice bedding & towels. Be aware there is no door on the en suite, being an early riser myself, putting the light on disturbed my partner who was still trying to sleep. I have already raised this with Argyll as I found it quite strange not to have a door there. On a personal note, this alone would stop me returning to this property
