Beautiful, old farmhouse, entirely renovated to a very high standard and offering circa 150 M2 of living space including 3 double bedrooms. Modern, luxurious and bright interior with original features including wooden beams, and French oak ceiling and bread ovens in the lounge. With its large private grounds and nice views over the valley below, this is a great home for getting away from it all, yet perfectly located for visiting the famous Côte d'Or wine region beginning about a fifteen-minute drive away, the lovely, historic wine capital of Beaune, and so much more. Green cycling path departs from our village of Thury along the old railway track.
Comfort + : very efficient JOTUL wood burner, X-Large Bathroom with separate "Italian" shower space, 2 separate toilet rooms, 3 double bedrooms. Fully equipped utility space etc. Luxury furniture & equipment throughout the house. Broadband Internet, Large flatscreen TV and smaller TV in master bedroom, with French and UK channels.

Lovely stay
Not often you pick a venue which meets all expectations. The booking process and communication was clear and untroubled. The property is clean has lots of space, quite and not overlooked. The pictures represent the property well. Would recommend a stay, if you want somewhere quiet and un hassled.

Perfect in every way
We would highly recommend this lovely house. It has been recently restored to an exceptionally high standard while retaining character. We found it impeccably clean, very spacious, extremely well equipped and the beds were very comfortable. The garden is large and enclosed with magnificent 360 degree views. Being on the edge of the village the location is completely tranquil. The house is within easy reach of the Morvan National park and also the Cote de Beaune vineyards. We stayed for two weeks and absolutely loved it here. The hosts are extremely kind and helpful people who genuinely wish for their guests to enjoy their stay. Nathalie the housekeeper is available if needed and is very helpful. We have stayed in quite a few gites in France and can happily say that this was by far and away our best experience.

Beautiful house and location.
Had a fantastic week at this house. The owners were very helpful beforehand and sent lots of info Nathalie also rely nice and she popped in at start of stay.. Very peaceful house, modern and clean. Beautiful location. Would suit both relaxing holidays as there is no sound apart from occasional bird and also families as swings and trampoline and a big garden. Everything was provided for and we had a wonderful holiday.. perfect in every way Thank you so much . .

Lovely farmhouse, renovated to high standards. Modern features, a lot of space. Very quiet environment and stunning views on the surrounding countryside. Perfect getaway to enjoy Burgundy vineyards! The kids loved the garden and the swing! Highly recommended !

A superb house and a fantastic holiday!
This property is very spacious and comfortable. It is well equipped with all of the things you need for your stay. The owners were able to answer any questions we had, promptly and with care. A good bottle of wine welcomed us on arrival and the owners had left lots of useful information to help us get what we needed locally and plan our daily activities. The house is in a fabulous location with stunning views of the surrounding countryside (especially the sunset) and close to the rustic village of Thury. Thanks for a great Burgandy holiday!

Lovely house set in peaceful surroundings
Spent a perfect week with the family. House is fully featured, comfortable and has been modernised without losing its character. It is on the outskirts of a charming little village called Thury, with cows in nearly every field setting off the pretty landscape. About 800m away is the village shop that sells essentials (not open on Mondays) and a traditional, honest to goodness restaurant called the Thurysien that serves home-cooked food with a smile. This is not a tourist village but it's all the better for it. You'll get a real taste of rural living in Burgundy in glorious tranquility - a far cry from the hustle and bustle of England's towns and cities. For more lively towns there is Beaune and Autun about 25km away, and of course Dijon at about 60km. The smaller towns of Chateauneuf and Nolay are essential visits too, with the former offering some jaw-dropping views. And of course, how could I forget the glorious vineyards around Pommard that were ripe for cultivation at the time of our visit. Last of all, if you have kids the forest of Givry offers a fantastic treetop adventure park at very reasonable prices. The proprietors Benoit and Caroline were very friendly and attentive, answering questions promptly and sending plenty of information ahead of our visit. My father is disabled and walks with a rollator and the house was a great fit. A couple of steps either side of the living area joining bedrooms and kitchen were no hassle for him. Thanks also to Nathalie who was equally pleasant. Highly recommended.

Spacious, secluded, luxury farmhouse
As a couple we have just returned from a fortnight's holiday in this beautiful, secluded, spacious house in a peaceful setting overlooking fields. The property was spotlessly clean and well-equipped with some thoughtful touches. We appreciated the housekeeper, Natalie, was just a phone call away if needed. The house is located approx 35km from Beaune and the great vineyards, with the Morvan and Macon within an hour and half's drive. The village has its own restaurant ,' Le Thurysian' serving excellent food (complete with comedic female proprietor), and in nearby Epinac the Auberge des Rives de la Drée is ideal for a quiet drink by the stream. We would also recommend a visit to Chateau Sully which is close by; further afield you can pick up some fabulous produce in the Dijon (various weekdays and Saturday) and Chagny (Sunday) markets. There is a wealth of birdlife in the surrounding area including peregrine falcons, honey buzzards, hen harriers, corn buntings, and numerous black redstarts. We were extremely lucky to get a glimpse of the rare European wild cat with its distinctive big tail near the Lac de Settons in the Morvan. Particularly enjoyed sitting under the old apple tree with a good book in late afternoon listening to the Charollais mooing with the odd tractor going by and also watching the sunset with a glass of Beaune.

Luxurious Retreat
We enjoyed three lovely weeks in this fabulous house. It is in a tiny little village to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and our jobs. We spend time to read and cook. Relaxing! We had been exploring the burgundy wine region during our days and were sitting next to the fireplace at the nights. By the way: The house has a kitchen fully equipped with everything you will need. All the equipment and furniture is of high quality. The landlords were very helpfull. We'll love to be back next year.

Wunderschönes Haus im Burgund/Beautiful house in Burgundy
Das Haus ist sehr komfortabel und hochwertig eingerichtet. Es fehlt an nichts und lässt keine Wünsche offen. Wir waren sehr begeistert. Wir haben es sehr sauber vorgefunden. Von Thury aus kann man viele Ausflüge unternehmen (Beaune, Autun, in den Morvan, Dijon..). Alles ist gut mit dem Auto erreichbar. Das Weingebiet ist nicht weit entfernt. Uns hat es insgesamt sehr gut gefallen. The house is very comfortable and furnished to a high quality. Nothing is missing and leaves nothing to be desired. We found it very clean. We enjoyd the house very much. From Thury you can go on many excursions (Beaune, Autun, the Morvan, Dijon...). Everything is easily accessible by car. The wine region is not far away. Nachdem wir bereits im Herbst eine wunderbare Woche in Carolyns Haus in Thury verbracht hatten, haben wir für diese Osterferien gleich wieder eine Woche gebucht. Unserer letzten Bewertung ist nichts hinzuzufügen: ein wunderschönes, bestens gepflegtes und komplett ausgestattetes Anwesen in sehr ruhiger Lage. Wunderschöne Herbstferien mit der Familie

Tolles Haus in absolut ruhiger Umgebung
Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Urlaub in diesem Ferienhaus. Die Lage war gut, die Aufteilung nahezu perfekt und die Freiheit im Garten das absolute Highlight. Leider ließ die Sauberkeit etwas zu wünschen übrig. Viele Ecken waren sehr staubig, zum Beipspiel unter dem Waschtisch im Bad. Die Spielgeräte im Garten sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen und daher vielleicht schon etwas unsicher, aber es gab so viele Bewegungsmöglichkeiten... Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet, sodass vieles möglich wird. Insgesamt eine schöne Unterkunft.

A Tranquil Retreat in the Heart of Burgundy
Last week, I spent an enchanting time at a generously sized vacation house in Thury, Burgundy. Bathed in just the right amount of sunlight and shade, this house with its vast garden offers an idyllic setting for relaxation. Furnished with luxury items, the house's interiors exude class and comfort, all while being spotlessly clean. Families with children will appreciate the indoor and outdoor toys, although the latter are somewhat dated. The owners excel in communication, ensuring a hassle-free experience from booking through the stay. However, if you have a crawling baby, some stair blocking may be necessary for safety. This is manageable and should not detract from the overall experience. Located near Burgundy's gems such as Dijon, Beaune, and the Route des Grands Vins, the house is also a stone's throw from charming local towns. Perfektes Ferienhaus
Wir verbrachten 6 Tage in diesem sehr gepflegten, luxuriösen, geräumigen sehr ruhigem und sauberem Ferienhaus. In der Küche war alles da, was man braucht in großzügigem Maß, einschließlich einer großen Salatschleuder. Die Übergabe durch Nathalie verlief optimal, sie hatte uns viele Tipps bezüglich Restaurants und Märkten. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Das wunderbar stilvoll renovierte Bauernhaus befindet sich in Alleinlage am Rand des Dorfes mit wunderbarer Aussicht- genau wie in der Bildern. Nichts für Leute, die den Trubel suchen, ideal für diejenigen, die sich -absolute-Ruhe wünschen. Wir kommen wieder!

Wunderschönes Landhaus
Wir haben den Aufenthalt in Thury sehr genossen. Das Haus bietet eine tolle Mischung aus ländlichem Charme und moderner Ausstattung. Alles ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Am besten gefiel uns das Wohnzimmer mit dem Kamin, an dem wir unsere Abende verbracht haben. Der Empfang durch Nathalie war sehr gut, alles war auf das Beste vorbereitet. Luxus und absolute Ruhe
Wir waren auf der Suche nach einem Ferienhaus in einer sehr ruhigen Lage und haben das für uns PERFEKTE in Thury gefunden! Das Haus ist genau so wie beschrieben. Viele Mieter haben schon sehr positive Bewertungen abgegeben und ich schließe mich hiermit an. Nur das WLan hakte ziemlich, was vor allem für unsere 16-jährige Tochter nicht so schön war (Instagram, Snapchat usw.). Zum Glück hatte ich genügend GB mitgebracht. Das POSITIVE daran war allerdings, daß unsere Tochter mit uns gemeinsam die wunderschönen Sonnenuntergänge erleben konnte und auch daran sehr viel Freude hatte. Wir können dieses wunderschöne Haus nur empfehlen! Vielen Dank an Carolyn und Benoit und natürlich auch an Natalie!

Excellentes vacances dans une superbe maison
Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans cette maison ancienne superbement rénovée. Le séjour est très spacieux et agréable, la cuisine très bien équipée ; les chambres sont confortables et la salle de bains est également spacieuse et bien équipée. Nous avons profité du grand jardin entourant la maison et des vues magnifiques sur les beaux paysages à 360 degrés. La maison est bien située à une vingtaine de kilomètres des grands vignobles de la côte de Beaune. Idéal pour se reposer et profiter de la région.
