OUTDOORS
Whitefish Lake has the best kayaking location & fishing waters on the chain. We'll point you to our favorite nearby kayaking routes! Explore the surrounding lakes in all the boats we provide - or bring your own boat.

Fishing is good from the dock or further out. Kids will love splashing in the shallow waters, jumping off the pier, or playing on the giant float mat.
After a full day of fun on the water, grill up dinner and enjoy a relaxing meal on the patio, followed by s’mores around a campfire. We’ll provide the s’mores kit & extra-long roasting forks! Bring your binoculars for wildlife watching or telescope for stargazing.

Whitefish Lake is a 200-acre all-sport Class A Musky Lake with an enviably quiet location near the end of the Chain of Lakes. It has the thrill of being part of a large lake chain (cruising multiple lakes without relaunching your boat) without all the boat traffic and frequent wake. The quiet waters are beneficial to small children and fishermen alike. Whitefish is a favorite with local fishermen who catch walleye, musky, northern pike, bass, perch and bluegill.

If you’re bringing a fishing boat, the free public launch is located a half-mile away; we’ll offer specific advice to our boating guests.

INDOORS
White Pines is cozy, clean, and cool - thanks to central air conditioning! It features two queen bedrooms and a bunk room with fresh linens, a full bathroom, and comfortable living room with wood-burning fireplace. The family game room (second living room) offers foosball, magnetic darts, card & board games, as well as books, Legos, DVDs, and puzzles for all ages. There's also a 55" TV with streaming box, DVD player, and HDMI cord to connect to your laptop.

The kitchen is simple but well-equipped with all you’ll need for family meals, including a crockpot, electric pancake griddle, blender, sharp kitchen knives, Keurig Duo with K-cups, kitchen spices, and quality bakeware and cookware (tri-ply stainless steel set, new nonstick pans).
The new convection range (with Air Fry!) is a treat to use, and you'll find all the "nice to haves" like silicone spatulas, BBQ utensils, and a digital meat thermometer.

Be among the first to enjoy the brand new bathroom in Summer 2024.

We’ve designed White Pines Cabin to be incredibly family friendly — so you’ll find a tiled “mudroom” corner to keep your beach gear contained. We provide kids kitchenware as well as household items to lighten your packing load: pack n play, toddler dining chair, booster, nightlights. For 2024, we've installed a new large-capacity washer and dryer. The well-stocked linen closet contains plush bath & beach towels, as well as extra linens.
Minimal packing = Maximum relaxing!

Great Family Time
Our family loved staying at White Pines. We had beautiful weather at the end of August for one last summer getaway! Our family enjoyed kayaking, fishing, swimming, cornhole and axe throwing. We ended each of our evenings around the campfire enjoying s’mores. There’s nothing like family time! Thank you for sharing your cabin with us. It was perfect for our family!

Great week at Whitefish Lake
We loved our week at Whitefish lake in the White Pines Cabin. The hosts were AMAZING and available for the few quick things we needed. The cabin was just the right size and there were activities for everyone from boating, to paddle boarding to axe throwing to board games. The kitchen was well stocked and everything worked great. It was clean and comfortable both inside and outside. We all really enjoyed the week and would recommend it to anyone heading up that way. Thank you again for all the wonderful and memorable week!

Northwoods vacation
This property is exactly as listed. The property was easy to find, had no steps to the lake and had indoor and outdoor space for everyone. The house is well stocked and the towels provided were fluffy- bath, kitchen and lots of nice towels for swimming/boating. The Wi-Fi was good and our cell phones had reception. We saw/heard lots of loons and the view of the lake was beautiful and ever-changing. Heidi was easy to reach and was quick to respond.

A peaceful escape
The property was just as shows listed and the first thing we all noticed was the quiet surroundings. Kayaks were a huge hit not only the for teens but for adults too. The lake foam pad was a great treat to have to lay out on the water as well. My son Evan caught his biggest Musky ever on this lake so you can imagine the excitement. Heidi was a pleasure to work with throughout and we even got to meet a her husband and a few of their kids. This was a great VRBO experience and we look forward to doing it again. Don’t hesistate to book.

Great family getaway
We rented this cabin for a Fourth of July weekend getaway. The owner had thought of everything—the cabin was totally outfitted with plenty for our kids (9-13) including kayaks, canoe, fishing pier, games, movies and more. Conveniently located near Three Lakes, we had access to supplies but enjoyed that the cabin is off the beaten path. Whitefish Lake is gorgeous and quieter than nearby lakes. Really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend.
