"Le lieu est magnifique mais les infrastructures ne sont pas au niveau. Les équipement de la maison sont en mauvais état, lampes non fonctionnelles, spot de sdb cassé, rideau de douche avec moisissures, poêles teflon usées….il y a une belle piscine très sale et le liner est mort, la piscine fuit donc rechargée 24/24 donc l’eau est glaciale, les transats sont usés donc inconfortables. "We thoroughly enjoyed our week here. The house was beautiful, spacious, clean and filled with lots of antiques which added character. The house is in a quiet rural location but close to Excideuil (we recomend the market) and Brantome for kayaking. Didier was a lovely host and came early in the morning every other day to clean the pool. Would highly recommend"

And yet, there are plenty of towns, markets, swimming lakes etc within a 10-15 kilometre distance. "A beautiful house, well-equipped and great for families. The pool is lovely and very welcome in the August heat! The hosts are very welcoming, kind and helpful. The location is peaceful and quiet but in easy reach by car from some towns and activities. Brantôme and Perigueux were lovely to visit and the caves at Villars are worth a visit especially with kids. Highly recommended! "
