great accommodation and dog friendly
we had a fantastic stay, the shepherds huts were beautiful and had everything we needed. the views were dantastic and surroundings so pieceful. Our dog was made very welcome and the fenced off area gave her space to explore safely.
Beautiful hut, would highly recommend staying here. Host communication was unclear, towels and bedding are optional extras but not obvious when booking.
Excellent accommodation.

Beautiful location and Shepherd’s huts
I had a fantastic stay at Morndykes shepherds huts.
The location of the farm is truly remarkable, offering a perfect blend of tranquility in the open fields, while still being conveniently close to nearby attractions and amenities. It was a delight to experience such a peaceful retreat with the option to easily venture into town.
The welcome book was extremely helpful, providing all the essential information about the hut as well as local dining and shopping recommendations. This added a thoughtful touch to my stay.
Moreover, the added convenience of the little on-site shop was a great feature, with a range of useful items like firelighters and cleaning products readily available as well as the availability of a washer and dryer.
I also appreciated the spare Wellington boots and blankets provided, which demonstrated your attention to detail and commitment to ensuring guests feel at home.
Thank you once again for a wonderful experience. I look forward to the opportunity of staying at your lovely property again in the future.

Great find!
Wonderful stay with my friend at our 2 dogs, great facilities if you have dogs and very secure for them. It is worth noting that you can not pull your car directly up to the hut to unpack and pack, but it is only a very short walk. Lots of nice walks and secure places for dogs to have a run off the lead. Wildlife in the area is second to non. We walked into Thirsk from the huts and had a lovely lunch and such a pretty town. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be returning.

This really is a must VISIT !!
This is simply our new favourite place !! Yes sure the amazing weather helps but these four amazing little huts are really something that you should make time to visit.
Either as a base for travelling the beautiful surrounding countryside or simply as we did just sit and take in the tranquillity of Morndyke .
The exquisite Floppy Hut has everything you can possible need with great shower and toilet facilities and lovely comfy bed .
If you have a dog they can travel for a small extra charge and are fenced in making it stress free for you too sit back stoke up the BBQ and chuck some wood on the fire pit and RELAX .....
Thanks to Tricia for everything its really beautiful and the onsite little shop has everything you may have forgotten.

This was our first Glamping experience - aged 70 and 80! Hut was beautifully crafted and exactly as advertised with everything you’d need, just on a smaller scale. Beds comfy, (take great care if you climb up to the single bed), shower powerful and hot, tv and WiFi reception reliable. Location couldn’t be beaten. Views east over open countryside, birdsong, fragrant plantings near outdoor seating areas and wildflower area. Also, not far from some of our favourite walks - West Tanfield, Ripley, and Ripon canal. Also a great selection of pubs and restaurants within half an hour in any direction as we decided not to try the single plug-in hob or grill, as only there three nights. Only downside was nowhere to store our few clothes and groceries we brought as every cupboard and drawer was full of stuff - so clothes stayed unpacked in the shower cubicle and groceries on top of wall cupboard. Finally, I counted 13 soft toy animals dotted about. Cute but overkill I think, especially for somewhere that doesn’t allow children 17 and younger who might appreciate them more.

Wonderful stay
What a beautiful setting this accommodation is set in. We had a wonderful stay and my pup loved it. The enclosed space was great and lovely fields to walk around at sunrise and sun set.
The owners were amazing and extremely friendly as well as accommodating.
My only gripe is with this website as it didn’t allowed me to add on my dog to the accommodation when playing nor did it tell the owner we needed bedding.
I really enjoyed this spot and will definitely be staying again!
We had a wonderful stay! Cosy and warm hut with everything we needed for a lovely few days away! Will definitely be recommending to family and friends! Thanks for a wonderful stay!
Being a couple who like the outdoors the Morndyke Sheperds Hut was the perfect option for us to add as our accommodation for our adventure weekend.
We were not disappointed, the hut was beautiful. Situated by the lake and field the hut location was perfect for feeling detached from the outside world yet only a few miles from the town centre when you got on the main road on the other side of the farm.
Comfy bed, log fire, shower with all the fully functional amenities the hut was self contained allowing you to enjoy a snug hideaway
Tricia and her husband were very friendly and not too far away if needed.
The hut was modern, clean and beautifully decorated - I cannot recommend Morndyke Sheperd Huts highly enough - we loved our weekend there and will return
