"My stay at La Folie Douce was exceptional. The entertainment and the convenience of having the slopes right within walking distance to the gondolas was perfect. I have to say that the check in staff were great. Seb in particular went above and beyond to make sure all my questions were answered and help me find a technician to repair my GoPro casing. "Beautiful hotel - probably one of the best spots in Chamonix especially for a first-time visit like us. Pros: - Location: located just at the end of the pedestrian section of Jospeh Vallot, you literally walk outside and cross the street to have access to the shops, restaurants, art galleries and bars of central Chamonix. "The room was basic but expected for the price. Helpful staff and great breakfast. Ideal spot for walking tracks. A little way out of Chamonix but there is a handy bus service and within walking distance. "

"Staff was amazing - kind, helpful, attentive. Small hotel with lots of local charm and view of the alps out your window or balcony. The location is perfect for chamonix- buses for skiing and touring across the street and shops walking distance less than 5 minutes. We would definitely come to Auberge du Manoir again!"

"Very central for dining and shopping experiences; manageable ten minute minimum walk to the nearest ski lift, but necessary to take 15-20 minute bus or train to ski other included areas (ie.
