The Wee Nook, just 3 miles from Carver Landing!
The Wee Nook is a cottage tucked away in a peaceful, lovely location near the national park. Use it as a base for hiking nearby trails, or floating the Buffalo River (just 3 miles from Carver Landing). There are six Highland cows that roam the pastures surrounding the home, along with plenty of wildlife on the property. There's a wet-weather creek that flows from approximately December to April (depending on rain fall). Come relax in the gorgeous Ozarks!
***I will send you a map pin, as the address isn't recognized by map apps*** Also please note the home is down a mile long gravel driveway, with a steep hill. I've had no trouble in my 2wd SUV, but I don't recommend motorcycles!!

We had a wonderful few days away, and it was perfect. The cows were friendly and came up for some ear scratches. The Wee Nook was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The whole valley was quiet and relaxing. This was our second visit and I'm sure we'll be back again. I even messaged ahead of time to see if there was a French press coffee maker (so I could pack mine if needed), but Ashley went and put a brand new one in the cabin for us. It was perfection!
The little house is beautiful and well furnished. The bed was soo comfortable and everything was very clean. The host was amazing to work with. We will be returning for future trips! Thank you so much for making our stay enjoyable!
My husband and I stayed at the Wee Nook for 4 nights to celebrate our anniversary. It was just as described, clean, property owner went above and beyond with kindness. The highland cows were a huge bonus. We loved it here and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a beautiful, quiet place to get away!
Out of everywhere we stayed on our trip this was the cleanest and most homey of them all. Host was quick to respond to any questions we had! Definitely recommend!
I had a great stay here. The property was adorable and tucked away in a peaceful space. The host was fantastic in their communication, and the cows on the property were fun to see. I’ll definitely book again!
Super friendly and helpful host. Property was really clean and had everything we needed and more. A really cute place to stay while we floated the Buffalo!
We had the BEST time!!! The wee nook is perfect! The cows are wonderful, the location was 20 minutes from everything! The owners were especially nice and were available for any questions, the CLEANLINESS was awesome, just can’t say enough!!!
The property was amazing. Looked just like the pictures. It was the perfect place to relax and enjoy country living. The highland cattle made it extra special. I would love to come back again.
Had booked the wee nook due to unforeseen plumbing problems from cold weather host upgraded us to the larger highland hideaway. Zero complaints was a very nice place. Hosts were very friendly and accommodating. Would definitely recommend.
We’re really impressed with our stay at Wee Nook! The location was perfect for all the activities we planned to do. This trip was just a quick getaway for us and we appreciated the peace and quiet. The cows were my favorite! Really enjoyable! We’re exploring this area so we would love to come back for another stay.
My husband and I thought this little cottage was perfect. It is decorated nice and has everything you need for a nice stay. There are extra pillows and blankets, which I appreciate! It heats up quickly on chilly nights! Lovely place. Will hopefully be back!
The younger couples on our annual kayak/canoe trip down the Buffalo camped at Blue Hole. However, this 70+ age couple enjoyed the comfort of staying at the Wee Nook instead of primitive camping.
We absolutely loved our stay at the Wee Nook! It was tastefully decorated and so comfortable. The open concept kitchen and living area was just perfect, and the bed... So comfy! The owners really had thought of EVERYTHING. We sat outside a lot in the evenings watching the cows and just being present. The owners were incredibly quick to respond to a couple of things we had questions about and were so sweet! We're already discussing the next trip up! Loved our stay.
We absolutely loved this little cabin. Its clean and has everything you need. The cows are precious and we came the day after a baby highland cow was born. Over all wonderful experience will definitely stay again with our kids next time. Thanks for having us Ashley and family. 😊
This nook is clean and safe! My son and I loved staying here. We had a great time! Would come back!
We spent time hiking in the area. The easiest hike was the Lost Valley trail. It was awesome. My 10 year old loved it.
Thank you!
