"Had everything we needed! It’s walkable to the main st for shopping and food. During the day we enjoyed renting bikes, the ferry, and the fun zone. At night we walked to dinner and cozied up at the apt. Would highly recommend for families. Thank you!"

"Great location for families. Close to everything; shopping, fun zone, food, beach. The grass area right out past the front patio was perfect to play with the kids and the dogs. We spent most of our time on the patio people and dog watching. So nice not to have to worry about partying above you or sharing the patio with vacationers since it is the wonderful owners living upstairs. Very clean with access to bikes, beach equipment and games. We read so many reviews of different places before choosing this one. The kids said the beds were more comfortable than their own at home. The linens in the bathroom were very plush. We put our two teen boys in the twin/twin room, 2 adults in the king room and our teen daughter in the bunk room. Could have had another kid with her on the top bunk. The sofa pulls out also but we didn’t use it as we ended up having 5 people with our dog that was pre approved to join. The sofas were great and the layout was perfect to look out to the boardwalk from inside. The dining table inside and outside were great as well. My family has allergies so even if there were shedding dogs that were there before us it must have been cleaned extremely well as no one had any allergies. Lots of parking nearby if you have more than one car. We used the bikes daily and were provided a lock. There are multiple coffee shops steps away as well as restaurants and so many stores. Also tons of places to rent or buy anything you might need. We would definitely stay again. "

"House had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Fireplace was an extra nice touch. Location can’t be beat! I would stay again! Garage is actually a good size for two vehicles but a challenge comes into play because there are trash bins in the alley from the market. Without those trash bins you have plenty a room but since they’re there, one vehicle is probably ideal. One small thing to note (I didn’t rate down for) was the cleaning crew arriving after we were told we could check in early. Also, our check out time was 10am and they were there at 9:30am. When I told them we would leave at 10am, they graciously left but came back at 9:55, we were gone by then but just wanted to note that. "

"A lovely well equipped old Balboa Island cottage. Tastefully furnished. The bathroom is downstairs whereas the two bedrooms are upstairs. The location is near the main streets on the Island - Marine Ave and Park Ave. I would prefer to stay again at the quieter end of the Island Near the Ferry. "

"First we had all the room we needed. The kitchen and main floor was a great location for all of the family to hang, play games and reminisce. The view facing the water was breathtaking, you are literally steps away from the sand. Well stocked and is exactly as described. Lastly great communication from the host. We will definitely come back. "
