Great stay!

Great Location but Needs Some Love

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: First let me say that the staff at Downhome is just wonderful. Positive attitude and very patient and diligent in addressing our concerns. The house was very well located and clean but definitely needs some attention to the details. We knew it was not fancy or updated but we had not expected to have to address such an ongoing stream of issues. The electric golf cart charging was not working correctly. We eventually worked with Downhome to get it serviced and charger replaced but it took weeks cause of the heavy demand for cart service in the village. The coffee maker was missing pieces (it was replaced when we asked) and we were able to work with Downhome to get some basic items to fill out what was missing in the terms of cooking and linens. The unit is probably fine for short term stays but we were there for 3 months, so the lack of dressers was definitely an issue - not one dresser in the whole house! The rug is original and pretty worn. The recliner was pretty worn out too. The kitchen is stocked with a rag tag mix of cast offs while cabinets need to be purged of really random items that take up space but never will get used. Definitely recommend working with Downhome and recommend the location but would not rent this house again for an extended stay unless it gets some upgrades.

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The the house was very nice except it was not clean indeed. The carpets were filthy, the scatter rugs were filthy I found dead geckos under the refrigerator door and in the Lanai. And I found down home properties not really accommodating.
