Charming and unique
We’ve seen a few silo properties over the years, but this was the first time we actually booked and stayed in one. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The silo itself is incredibly charming featuring all kinds of warm and homey touches.
Initially, we were concerned about exactly how much room we’d have in this small space, but those fears were wiped away immediately when we checked into the silo. The space is well designed and efficient. The bottom floor is easy to maneuver around in, and there was plenty of room for storing our bags (under the stairs to the loft).
We very much appreciated the full kitchen, and the bathroom, while small, wasn’t cramped at all. I’m 6’6” tall and had no issues whatsoever.
Upstairs in the loft, there’s even more room available with a small sofa for lounging and a very comfortable queen bed. The stairs are a bit steep, but are not difficult to navigate.
We even got the opportunity to meet the owners, who were hospitable and friendly. We chatted with them about the property, and they introduced us to their menagerie of miniature horses, goats, donkeys, and kittens.
If you’re looking to experience a distinctive stay that beats the pants off a boring hotel room or even a traditional VRBO accommodation, we strongly encourage you to stay at the Silo. We will definitely be back.
