"Brilliant staff and it's the staff that make the resort 2nd visit here there will be a third. The reception staff are awesome as are the bar and waiting staff. Personally I didn't rate the food included in the package to much of the same no flair "

"We travel to Mauritius twice a year and usually stay by the beach however, this time we decided to hopefully find a place that would be our own space. Palmnest was just perfect. Lots of space in the house and the outside space was perfect with a large veranda area for eating or just chilling out with a great view of the sea. The area is quiet but in walking distance to a large well stocked supermarket including fresh warm baguettes and takeaway foods. We had a rental car but only a 5 minute walk to the main road with bus routes to the Capital. Great communication with Coralie who answered any queries promptly and lovely communication with the property owners. We were so happy with Palmnest that we have booked again for next year."

"Fabulous Resort. Truly felt like we were in paradise. All the staff were very polite and friendly - Tania at reception and Fazal at poolside. Food for breakfast was great especially enjoyed the addition of make your own juice. Buffet dinner at La Patio was good with different theme each night and Citronella restaurant was also very nice. Would definitely consider returning in the future. "

"We visited the resort with our 2 kids, came from Turkey and stayed there for 4 happy days. The resort has a vintage beauty. We arrived there early, after a long, exhausting flight, but, the hotel was full and they couldn't give us a room before 15:00. However, they were kind and sincere and tried their best to help us. We tried the main restaurant and the snacks restaurant by the pool. Breakfasts were accompanied by beautiful birds and dinners by mystical frog sounds. Food options were mostly spicy, a little different for our taste but we didn't struggle finding options, more importantly, for the kids. They were very helpful changing the listed menu item and preparing foods according to our taste. My husband once had allergic symptoms, but the staff was very helpful, and stayed alert to bring us to the hospital quickly in case of an emergency. I wouldn't say that they were extremely professional because, in a place full of coconut trees, they said they "may" provide it only after 3-4 days. The pool was perfect for kids, the sand was beautiful; while you are chilling, kids can play safe and free. The boutiques were also nice with honest sellers. We stayed in a villa, upper floor, the garden was dreamy (but saw a dead bird not taken for days). Our room was beautiful, moderately clean, bathrooms were tired, the main bed was comfy but the sofa bed was NOT. Bottled waters provided once and should be filled using fountains (kids loved it). Overall, it was a nice experience for us."

It's a real home away from home where everything has been thought of. The garden is stunning and the pool is lovely and always very clean. The hosts are amazing - easy to get hold of, incredibly helpful and thoughtful. The villa is in a great location too - we can't wait to come back. Thank you again."
